Mental Health Awareness: PMDD Sucks. Period.

Mental Health Awareness: PMDD Sucks. Period.
As we wrap up Mental Health Awareness Month, the podcast highlights a mental health concern unique to women: Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, or PMDD. In this episode, we raise awareness for PMDD by exploring the continuum of menstrual cycle symptoms, from regular menstrual symptoms to premenstrual syndrome (or PMS) to PMDD. We chose a continuum approach to understanding PMDD because women often struggle with symptoms that are far more intense than the normal and typical symptoms to be expected with one’s menses each month. Yet, they accept these more intense symptoms as something you just have to deal with once a month not realizing there might be something more going on with their suffering along with options to alleviate it. Self-compassion and self-care strategies for wherever you may fall on this spectrum are also explored.  Your Path Through Work Stress QuizReady to find your best path through work stress?
