Sports card collecting is a hobby that has been a part of American culture for almost a century. Sports Cards Nonsense is a podcast that celebrates this unique and enduring tradition. Whether a listener is an experienced card collector or just venturing into this hobby, they may find helpful information here.

The hosts and creators of the podcast are Jesse Gibson and Mike Gioseffi. Initially, Gibson's role on the podcast was that of an editor. In addition to his role as a cohost and producer on the podcast, The two cofounded Card Shop Live. This is an app and website that allows people to buy and sell sports and trading cards.

Gioseffi started the podcast on his own, at first as a social media stream. Since the podcast started, he became a cofounder of Card Shop Live. He is also related to Gibson by marriage (he married Gibson's cousin).

One of the best things about Sports Cards Nonsense is the interplay between the two hosts. One only needs a few moments of listening to the podcast to realize the two are friends outside the show. The fact that they are family and knew each other beforehand contributes to the show's fun tone.

Sports Cards Nonsense covers a wide variety of sports cards from different leagues. These include the NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB. They also discuss what trading card games like Topps and Lorcana are doing. The podcast also has guests appear on specific episodes. These include Scott Rogowsky, who listeners may know as the original host of the HQ Trivia app. He makes a memorable appearance on the show.
