4| Truth Bomb: Why Educating Teachers About Food Allergies Is Crucial, Whether You Have a 504 Allergy Plan Or Not
Hey Food Allergy Mama, Back when my daughter was younger, I had no idea that schools and teachers weren't very aware of food allergies. I soon learned that not only were schools and teachers unaware in general, but that food and allergens are EVERYWHERE at school.   Some parents are super in tune with educating and advocating for their food allergy child at school, but other parents, like me in the beginning, don't realize that many teachers and schools just don't know what they don't know, and that it's up to food allergy parents to ensure the right food allergy safety procedures are in place. No matter which parent you are, this episode will underscore the importance of school allergy training while uncovering some truth bombs you probably haven't thought of before.  You'll find this helpful whether you have a food allergy 504 plan or not.  I hope this blesses your family today.
