Football is one of the most popular sports in the United States. The NFL is also beginning to find an audience in other countries. The Franchise Tag Overtime is an NFL podcast with a different perspective. Its focus is American football, but this podcast comes from England.

Prominent sports commentators also appear as guests. The Franchise Tag Overtime is an official podcast of the website of the same name. The people behind this show also produce The Franchise Tag and Franchise Tag Fantasy podcasts.

One of the hosts of this podcast is Gareth Smith. He has been a lifelong NFL fan, particularly of the Philadelphia Eagles. This is because his father worked at Wembley Stadium in the 1980s during one of the first overseas NFL games in the league. Other show hosts include Freddie Hall, Andy Manning, and Adam Martin. While the UK is known for its love of European football (soccer in the US), the hosts here are NFL fanatics.
