The Boat Run
Out of the frying pan and into the fryer. The crew had cheated death and escaped the law by the skin of their teeth. But all was not smooth sailing, especially not in this waterlogged story. Their backs were to the wall. The word had gotten out that the group was hot. The lawman was on their tails. And no one in the business wanted anything to do with our Good Ol' Boys. So the usual stream of income had been abruptly cut off. And the flow of funds was beginning to dry up. It had been a very long year and a half since the infamous crash and things only got worse. When the crew found out there was a fresh warrant out for Petety's  arrest, the squeeze was on. Luckily for the crew, no one was concerned about any of them, if caught, turning on the others. The brotherhood between them assured the peace of mind nothing would break their bond.     The Court Case  - Only those who risk going to far can possibly find out, just how far they can go.  -T.S. Elliot     The All American Pot Smugglers had spent years pushing the limits, the limits of what they could handle both physically and mentally. But now their stories would come to a point where they would be forced to find out just how far they could go emotionally. Both Petey and JJ at different points in their own journeys, ended up spending time out on the run away from friends and family. Sometimes with nothing but the shirts on their backs. With the law on their heels. Every turn, it was only a matter of time before the tragic events of the crash would finally catch up to them. Feeling like a wounded and cornered animal. All that could be done at this point was to keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep the spiritual energy alive inside, hoping beyond all hope that one last time the grace and magic of that spirit that kept them alive all those years would come through for them one last time.
