Is Life Falling Apart? How Desperate Prayers Draw Us Closer to God with Rachel Wojo
Send us a textPrayer has been heavy on my heart for a few months and having back to back interviews for the podcast about prayer really drove it home for me. We as God's people have to be people of prayer. It's our main line of communication to God. Us talking to Him and Him talking to us. Today's guest knows all about being angry with God and coming to him with her raw & real emotions. She has written two books that both talk about how hard and desperate life can feel, and how to go to God in the midst of it all. Rachel Wojo is an inspirational author, speaker and podcaster. Through her biblical approach and personal life experiences, Rachel empowers women to discover strength and hope in everyday situations. Despite enduring the loss of her mother, adult special needs daughter, and father, Rachel remains resilient. This conversation is jam packed with so many amazing nuggets of truth that I ran out of room on my note sheet while we were chatting! Rachel's approach to including God in her life through creative ways of connecting to him in prayer were so inspirational to hear. One of my favorite was prayer habit stacking! Key Takeaways: Desperate prayers are when we recognize that whatever is needed is outside of our controlWe set standards for what we think prayer should look like... we need to drop prayer perfectionismWe get to know God’s voice stronger when we spend time with him, talking & listeningTake every raw emotion straight to the feet of JesusPrayer habit stacking, add prayer to a habit you currently haveGod has never broken a single promise & He won’t in your situation either Connect with Rachel! Her website & order the book!IGGet the Embracing the Word Course HEREShipshewana Trading Place is home to Shipshewana Auction & Flea Market. Discovering the Depth of God’s Love Through Prayer with Rachael K. Adams

Discovering the Depth of God’s Love Through Prayer with Rachael K. Adams
Send us a textThey say that "you don't know, what you don't know". I think a lot of us don't know or aren't aware of the depth of God's love and how we have access to that love at all times. One way that we can discover the depth at which God loves us is through prayer. My dear friend Rachael Adams has a passion for helping women discover God's purpose and love for them. Author of Everyday Prayers for Love, A Little Goes a Long Way, and host of The Love Offering podcast, Rachael Adams, hopes to help women realize their God-given purpose and significance. She and her husband, Bryan, live in Kentucky with their two children, Will and Kate. Her work has been featured on Good Morning America, Crosswalk, Proverbs 31, Today Parenting, and YouVersion. In this conversation we talk about how prayer makes all the difference in our walk with God but also in the way we love others. Jesus tells us in scripture that "they will know you are mine by your love". Our distinctive marker of Christians is our love for others. That's not an easy task because.... people can be hard to love! We are only human, how are we supposed to live out this kind of love in our every day lives? You'll hear all about that in the episode this week. What's even better is that you can read more and walk through an entire month of going deeper on this topic through Rachael's newest devotional (preorder below!) Everyday Prayers for Love: Learning to love God, Others and Even Yourself. It's an amazing 31 day devotional and reflective journal that takes you into scripture and shows you how to practically what this love looks like and how to live it out. I can't recommend it enough!! Key Takeaways: A little prayer goes a long wayWe can all pray to an audience of one who can reach the hearts of millionsThe more time you spend with God, the more you’ll recognize His voiceBe in God’s word so that you can know if what you’re hearing aligns with scriptureBe faithful and steward what God is doing in your life right nowPray for eyes to see people as God sees them Connect with Rachael!websiteIGListen to the Love Offering PodcastShipshewana Trading Place is home to Shipshewana Auction & Flea Market. Preparing For The Holidays: How to Make Meals Meaningful Again with Anita Hinkeldey McVey

Preparing For The Holidays: How to Make Meals Meaningful Again with Anita Hinkeldey McVey
Send us a textMeal time is under attack from the enemy isn't it? It feels impossible to get everyone seated around a dinner table let alone have a meaningful conversation. So what do we do? How do we make meal time meaningful again, especially with the holiday coming up?My guest, Anita shares her wisdom on this topic and how food brings us all together. Anita Hinkeldey McVey is a midwest farmer’s daughter who grew up in northwest Iowa on a steady diet of faith, family, and food. Her passion for cooking and gardening inspired her to create a blog, Picnic Life Foodie, where she shares her favorite recipes and the fond memories they bring to mind. With their two sons now “out of the nest”, Anita and her husband, Marty, live on an acreage in central Iowa with a large garden, a fishing pond, and an energetic hunting dog named Stark.Something that I really want to encourage you with as you listen to this episode is the portion of the conversation where we talk about the holidays and how we are called to hospitality not entertainment. Between Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest none of us can live up to the picture perfect settings and meals culture is pushing on us to create. We have to redirect our focus from the entertaining mindset to one of hospitality. Where we take time to have the conversations with people, letting them know they are seen and valued versus rushing from one course to the next making sure everyone is happy and getting exactly what they want. Let yourself off the hook this holiday season… you have permission to enjoy the meal with your family and rest with them.Key Takeaways: Food is easily relatable, that’s why God uses it to speak to us in scripture and in every day lifeGo gives us smaller bites of wisdom, so we can chew on it with himInvest in dinner time, whatever that might look like in this season of life, be flexibleThere is a difference between entertaining and hospitalityFocus on the people -you have permission to not go the extra mile this holiday season and just rest with your loved onesReach out to those who are facing loss this holiday season and let them know you see them and understand how hard this can be Connect with Anita! BlogIGGet the Book!Get the Recipe Book!Support the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

A Wife’s Guide to Biblical Manhood: Walking Alongside Your Husband’s Faith Journey with Vince Miller
Send us a textBiblical manhood… what is it and why as women should we care that much about it? As women in community with men, whether that be our husband, father, son, brother, co-worker or friend, we need to care about their relationship with God. The world is distorting what manhood is and if we aren't diligent in helping our men seek what the Bible teaches on the topic we could unknowingly walk them towards the wrong path. We have to be supporters in their choosing to following the truth and not culture. My guest this week, Vince Miller, is a ministry veteran in this area. He has written 30+ books for men on all sorts of Biblical topics. From Bible studies to video series, he wants men to know who they are in Christ and get to know Christ better. His heart is for our men and he's here this week to clue us in on how we can come along side the men in our lives and help them grow in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Vince gives us women practical ways we can come alongside our men on their faith journey and goes more depth in the conversation so make sure you listen to it a few times. It is so helpful and encouraging to be clued in to what we can do as wives, daughters, mothers and friends to encourage our men in their faith journey. All in all… this is one of the most fun and informative conversations I've had on the podcast over the last 2 years. Share this with your friends, family and the men in your life! Key Takeaways: The enemy takes truth and distorts it slightly and that’s dangerous if you don’t catch itTrue manhood is rooted in God’s designEvery man needs another man by his side who’s been down the same road, encourage your man to be in community4 strategies for how women can support their manMen hear critical voices from all around them, don’t be one of those voicesEncourage your man to be around other Christian men, meaningful relationships, men are far too lonely Connect with Vince! Vince on IGVinceMiller.com Get the BookCheck out everything available....FREE RESOURCES, One-on-One Coaching, Courses, and more... at KalaDiane.comSupport the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

Breaking Free From Fear; How Jesus Gives Us Authority to Overcome with Angela Pitnikoff
Send us a textThe fear that we feel seems to be growing day after day. Those what if questions start to sound legit and it get's harder to distinguish between truth and lies. What if something happens to my family? What will happen after the election? What if all this hard work is for nothing? Without the truth of scripture speaking into our lives on a daily basis these lies and fears begin to take over. How do I know that? Because I've lived it far too many times in my life. I've been paralyzed by fear, hyperventilating with a panic attack on the horizon… trapped by fear. This week my guest Angela and I are here to remind you and possibly tell you for the first time that YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE IN FEAR! There is a way to break free from fear and live in place of authority over your fears! The topic of breaking free from fear is something both Angela and I are passionate about. Why? Because we have both experienced the freedom Jesus offers us from crippling fear and anxiety and we want you to experience it too! Angela Pitnikoff is a pastor’s wife, boy mom, worship leader, speaker and podcaster. She loves to lead worship and help people know the heart of God, understand the power of the Holy Spirit and receive the love of their heavenly father in a deep way. On the podcast, Kingdom Daughters, she shares her desire to help women understand their true identity in Jesus and walk in true freedom through Jesus! You can find her free 5-day devotional and free 30 bible reading plan at Thekingdomdaughers.com. Angela lives with her husband and 3 boys in Northern California. These strategies are going to be what changes everything! Key Takeaways: We have to know what we stand for and we get that by getting into God’s WordFear is not from God!Speaking scripture out loud to your fear stops the enemyYou can’t live in abundance when you’re always on the defensive in your life - protect yourself with God’s WordThe devil has to shift his strategy against you when you stop him in his tracks with scripture & praise to GodYou have the Holy Spirit inside of you, that’s the same power and authority that raise Jesus from the dead.. use it!Remember who you are - a daughter of the King Connect with Angela! IGKingdom Daughters WebsiteCheck out One-on-One coaching HERESupport the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

Discovering God’s Calling on Your Life and Finding Clarity with Brittany Bruce
Send us a textI feel like this is a constant struggle I face….. knowing what God wants me to do. Have you ever been there? Wondering if you're on the path God has for you and if you're not, how on earth to get back onto it! Discovering God's calling on our lives can seem like a daunting task but my friend Brittany is on the podcast this week to share with us how to find clarity in that area. Brittany Bruce is a podcaster, educator, and serial entrepreneur with a passion for helping women view their marketplace as their mission field, believing that serving others is a way to serve Jesus. Growing up as a preacher’s kid, Brittany was always connected to ministry but later found herself building a successful business. Despite growing that business to 7- figures in just 18 months, she found herself disconnected from her faith. In obedience to God's call, she laid down the business and relocated with her family to Alabama. There, Brittany founded Well Done Women, a thriving community and coaching business that empowers women to boldly live out their God-given purpose and serve Christ through their work and daily lives. Connect with Brittany at www.welldonewomen.com Free online business workshop-- www.welldonewomen.com/workshopLIsten to the Well Done Women Podcast- www.welldonewomen.com/podcastJoin our membership community - www.welldonewomen.com/membership I have personally learned so much from Brittany and am so thankful that she joined me on the podcast. I pray this conversation blesses you like it did me. Enduring Life’s Trials & Holding on to Faith with Lisa Plett
Send us a textSometimes what we hope won't happen is exactly what God has planned for us. This isn't a cruel trick from the Lord but instead his divine plan playing out for his glory and our good. These things build our faith and draw us closer to the Lord as we trust him with our lives. My guest this week, Lisa Plett, talks about this very thing as she shares her story in her new book, A Stroke of Love. Lisa is a Jesus lover, wife to Brad since 1994, and the proud mom of four incredible boys. Her journey includes raising a son who experienced a prenatal stroke and adopting a son from Jamaica when he was 13. These experiences have shaped her unique perspective on faith, resilience, and unconditional love, making me a passionate advocate for special needs families and adoptive parents. She has a heart to encourage and uplift others facing life's unexpected challenges by sharing her experiences of finding purpose, hope and healing within God's plan. Our conversation was one of vulnerability and honesty when it comes to the trials of life. Lisa shared such great practical advice on how we can endure life's trials while still holding on to our faith. Make sure you pass this conversation & book on to a friend that you know could use some encouragement in their journey. Key Takeaways: We can feel like we have given up our faith but we can know God never leaves usEven if we give up on God, he never gives up on usYou have permission to lament to God, he welcomes itWe don’t have to feel guilty when we tell God how we are feelingHonesty with God is always the best route to takeCounseling can give you the strategies to work through & process what we are facingThere is always hope because of Jesus even if you can’t see it“I’m not healed - I’m healing”, it’s a constant process Get the Book!Lisajplett.comLisa on FBLisa on IG  Find out more about One-on-One coaching HEREGet the online course HERESupport the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

Stepping Into The Unknown, Embracing Faith & Trusting God’s Plan with Renee Helmkamp
Send us a textThe unknown can be a terrifying thing can't it? As Christ followers we know that we are supposed to trust God with everything but when we can't see where we are going that can be scary. I'll be the first one to admit that I have to remind myself daily of the goodness and faithfulness of God so that I trust Him fully! Without looking back at all he's done in my life and the lives of others (like my guest this week) it's a challenge to embrace my faith and trust God's plan. That's exactly why I invited Renee Helmkamp to share a little of her testimony with us this week. She is a mom and now grandma that is living her best life in her 6th decade of life! She is a pediatric physical therapist by education and recently returned to the USA from living & serving for 3 years in the Dominican Republic. Now Renee is going back to school to become a preschool teacher for students with special needs and going on the adventure of a lifetime with the Lord.  Hearing her story of trusting the Lord was exactly what I needed this week. It's an emotional and grief filled time for me personally and when I hear these stories of God's faithfulness it reminds me of his presence and his deep love for me. I pray it does the same for you.  Key Takeaways: God will bust any excuses you might have for not obeying HimRemain open to what God has for youTrusting God fully means having a mindset of adventureKeep your communication with God open and know that He is preparing the way before youLove God and know that he is for you and wants you to experience abundanceWe can have joy knowing God is in the driver’s seat of lifeGod knows and sees our needs in every momentPractice the presence of the Lord & look for himGet the support you need to pass on a legacy of faith to your family and build your own faith in Christ with ONE-ON-ONE COACHING CLICK HERE for details Support the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

Fighting Doubts & Finding Hope Through God's Plan with Lisa Steven
Send us a textMy guest this week knows a thing or two about fighting doubts. Lisa Steven is the co-founder of Hope House Colorado, which provides free self-sufficiency programs to parenting teen moms in key areas of life along with offering housing support and so much more. But Lisa didn't just wake up one day and think… wow what a great idea to support teen moms. She began this journey as a teen mom herself. With little to no support found in her own family, her boyfriend's (now husband) family welcomed her in and extended the love of Jesus to her in a way she had never experienced. Doubt that she could be a mom at such a young age. Doubt that starting Hope House Colorado would actually work. Doubt that this thing she felt God calling her to would actually work out. Yup… she can speak to us about doubt. But also HOPE!! There is such hope in Jesus! Her story and so many others can look impossible but with God at the center, they become possible! Your journey may feel impossible at the moment, but listen in to hear how there is hope written all over it!  This conversation is going to leave you with hope, encouragement and a new awareness of God's faithfulness in your life!  Key Takeaways: Love teen moms right where they are and show them you care by asking about their babyThere is nothing you have done or had done to you that could ever make God not love youTake time and look back to see how God has been faithful over your lifeDon’t count yourself out, God will equip you for what he’s calling you to!Do one thing at a time and trust God, faith takes action one tiny step at a timeConnect with Lisa & Get the Book! Overcoming Addiction and Living in Freedom with Justin Fahrenbruch

Overcoming Addiction and Living in Freedom with Justin Fahrenbruch
Send us a textOur testimonies are important! It says right in scripture….Revelations 12:11 “They overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony..”Too often we don't think our stories matter or will make an impact on the lives of others. When in fact our stories are what God is using to bring others to him! When they hear of the radical transformations, the quiet personal times with the Lord or whatever our stories hold… it draws them into the amazing person of God! That is just what this week's guest is here to talk about! Justin Fahrenbruch is a powerful man of God who is evangelizing anywhere and everywhere he can telling others about how God saved his life. It's nothing he did on his own, it's all Jesus!!  It's AMAZING!! I'm so excited that I get to share it with you!! Key Takeaways: - We can’t just know a lot about God, we have to know him personally- Praising Jesus on Sunday and living in hell Monday through Saturday is not the life we are called to- Bad choices lead to bad habits which leads to addictions- If you’re truly searching for God, he will reveal himself to you- God is after your WHOLE HEART not just part of it- Go from mentally agreeing with the Bible to surrendering your life to Jesus- Jesus is everyone’s savior but not everyone’s Lord (we won’t let him be)- Letting garbage into your life will result in garbage coming out of you- Continue to combat the toxic thoughts from the enemyConnect with Justin! Strategies for Surviving Life's Storms with Pastor Justin Kendrick
Send us a textWhy does God let bad things happen to good people? Why did God let that person die? I love God, why am I struggling so badly? These are the hard questions that we avoid with God until they meet us abruptly in our life. They are questions we need to ask but we aren't sure where to find the answers or maybe be are afraid of finding out the answers. Either way… we need to explore these hard topics as  we grow in our faith & confidence in Christ. My guest on the podcast this week, Pastor Justin Kendrick, gives us strategies from his newest book, How to Quiet a Hurricane: Strategies for Christian Endurance in the Midst of Life's Storms, on how to approach these questions. They are necessary to navigate life's overwhelming, frustrating and inevitable storms. These strategies empower us to move past our fears and anxieties into a life of real and enduring peace! Justin Kendrick is the author of Bury Your Ordinary and The Sacred Us. He is the lead pastor of Vox Church, which he founded in 2011 with a small group of friends on the doorstep of Yale University. The church has since grown to multiple locations across New England, with the dream of seeing the least-churched region of the US become the most spiritually vibrant place on earth.Key Takeaways: - We avoid wrestling with the hard questions of life with God- Every time we bargain with God we are demanding that God function at the level of our own reason, which is dangerous- The real roadblock to Christian growth is pride- Life revolves around God ... not me- Elevate the promises of God over your own opinions- The difference between.... God + Me.... God not me.... God then me.... God in me- The secret to Christian growth is God IN me- Be a person who prepares for the storm instead of a person who reacts after they’ve been blown over by the stormConnect with Justin! https://www.justinkendrick.com/https://www.instagram.com/pastorjustinkendrick Justin's book LAUNCHED YESTERDAY!!!! YOU CAN GO SNAG IT NOW!!! GET THE BOOK HERE!Support the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

Send us a textThere are so many things the world tells us should be at the top of our to-do list and consume our time. But are those the things Jesus wants us focusing on? That's where healthy boundaries come into place. Boundaries aren't walls we build to keep people out or control others, boundaries are more of a personal limit/ guideline so you can manage your own behavior. When you are setting healthy boundaries use the phrase “so that”. “I'm doing this 15 mins of Bible time so that I can connect with God and be a better version of myself for my family.”  Rachel and I dive into this at length along with other so many other helpful strategies to help you get back to what Jesus is asking us to do. What is important to him is what needs to be important to us.  Rachel D. Baker is a speaker, coach, and author who is obsessed with helping women reclaim their time and sanity. As a chronic pain & illness warrior, special needs mom, and woman with ADHD, Rachel deeply understands the battle of doing All The Things for everyone else while trying to keep your head above water. Now she shares sanity-saving strategies, resources, and scriptures with women through her podcast, “How’s All That Working For Ya?”, encouraging you to create some breathing room in this one and only life. Her encouragement and sass cut through the fluff and speak directly to the hearts of overwhelmed women with a mix of humor, vulnerability, and no-nonsense truths. Key Take Aways: Decide what activities refill your cup and do the things that bring you joy, peace and connects you to GodYou can know your purpose & calling and not be exhausted walking in itAccept permission that you can have time to yourself and it’s not selfishIt’s possible to reclaim your time and sanityWhatever is your “that can go” thing from your schedule probably needs to be your “go to” thing Connect with Rachel! Website: https://racheldbaker.comIG: www.instagram.com/rachel.d.bakerFREE Breathing Room in the Bible scripture cards: https://racheldbaker.myflodesk.com/scripture-cardsSupport the showwebsite: https://kaladiane.com IG: @kaladianeyoderFB: @kaladianeyoderEmail: cckpodcast@gmail.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/kalayoderFB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/confidenceinchristcommunityMusic: Happy Clappy Ukulele by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comSpark Of Inspiration by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
