The Call Chelsea Peretti podcast is more than a call-in show—it's comedy galore. Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans will be happy that host Chelsea Peretti doesn't venture too far from her persona on the show, Gina Linetti. Echoes of her character pervade the podcast in many ways. Throughout the episodes, Peretti is warm, witty, and quick with a joke. She turns boring caller anecdotes into comedic riots. The host, guests, and callers "understand the assignment" on this comedy podcast. Guests range from musician Will Schwartz to comic Pete Holmes. Topics range from movie premieres to random bear attacks.

Peretti is a stand-up comic, actor, and singer. She has appeared in, written, directed, and edited countless film and TV productions. Her acting appearances include The Photograph, Game Night, Big Mouth, and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Peretti's writing credits include Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation, and Kroll Show. The host has also written for HuffPost and The Village Voice. Peretti has released musical EPs as well as many comedy specials.

Call Chelsea Peretti debuted in 2012, and the podcast soon gained many fans. After a three-year hiatus, the show returned in November 2023. The revamped podcast features more ambient music and sound effects. Peretti's hilarious antics include playing canned laughter, gasps, and boos.

Podcast conversations often evolve from discussions of caller's simple stories into delirious tangents. In one episode, Peretti responds to a caller with a drawn-out "Hi" that ends with the sound of shattering glass. In that same episode, the host invites listeners to send in stories about gator attacks.
