Listening, Empathizing, Agreeing, and Partnering in Schizophrenia
Dr. Xavier Amador, the Founder of the LEAP Institute, is an internationally renowned clinical psychologist and leader in his field. He describes his research, personal life and professional experience. He explains LEAP (“Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner”), its focus on relationships, and the purposes he saw for it. He discusses the challenges created by schizophrenia for individuals who live with it, for their families and family caregivers, and for providers of medical treatment for schizophrenia.
