How to Heal from Trauma with Rae Leonard, Author, Intuitive Guide & Coach
Trauma is universal. It’s something that we’ve all experienced to some degree if we’ve lived on this earth long enough.  Over the last few years, people have become more comfortable with sharing their trauma, which is a good thing, I think. But just like a lot of things, it can become watered down and not hold as much weight as it used to. If you’re a loyal listener of this podcast, you know that I like to have real and unique conversations about all sorts of topics and this is definitely one of those. In this episode,  I’m joined by Rae Leonard who has experienced her share of trauma and addiction.  Rae Leonard is an author, intuitive guide, and coach. Her latest book is titled High Sobriety: A Trip Out of the Bottle Into Your Intuition. She draws on several areas of expertise, including Jivamukti Yoga, VortexHealing®, Conscious Language, and Master cleansing, to help people who are ready for post-traumatic growth. Rae combines her coaching practice with frequency work, biofeedback, and transformation to help her clients intentionally change their deeply rooted patterns and unearth a carefully calibrated inner compass.  Rae is truly a ray of sunshine and I loved our conversation. Rae and I talk about trauma and how we can grow from what we’ve experienced. What I took away from our conversation was so much more than I expected and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised once you hear it.In this episode of the Contagious Confidence Podcast, we talk about:What is trauma? How to heal from trauma The importance of self-loveThe power of our words: words are wandsStepping into the beingness of who you are What is post-traumatic growth? How helping others helps us grow Where to Find Rae: Website: raeleonard.me Book: High Sobriety: A Trip Out of the Bottle Into Your Intuition Instagram: @iamraeleonard Stay Connected: Katie’s IG: @katieehawkes Podcast’s IG: @contagiousconfidencepodcast Email: contagiousconfidencepodcast@gmail.com

Redefining Success & Failure & the Power of Hard Conversations with Doug Wallace, Jr., President & Founder of the Hopeful Elephant Organization
When I have guests on my podcast, I always like to have a topic, but sometimes there’s beauty in having a conversation with a guest about one thing and it surprisingly leads to something we didn’t even plan for. What started as an interview about redefining failure and success turned into a really beautiful story of how a former professional poker player left poker behind to pursue a life that provided him with more than he could ever have imagined. And how a set of unique circumstances led him to start a non-profit focused on helping others approach hard conversations. Doug Wallace Jr. – President and Founder of The Hopeful Elephant Organization (THEO) is a former poker player turned Director in the Health and Fitness industry. Throughout his education and work, Doug has been creative in addressing challenging situations with compassion and professionalism. His approach to building strong relationships centers around open and honest communication. Doug’s simple idea of using a toy elephant to symbolize there is something you need to talk about has evolved into a 501c3 non-profit organization. By making the elephant in the room something you look forward to rather than avoid, THEO is on a mission to make the world a better place one conversation at a time.In this episode of the Contagious Confidence Podcast, we talk about:Definition of failure How to redefine failure How to define success for yourself Why do people feel that they need to put on a poker face? The Importance of having hard conversations Importance of mental wellness How to approach hard conversations Where to Find Doug:Website: thehopefulelephant.orgFacebook: @thehopefulelephant Instagram: @thehopefulelephantorganization Volunteer or Sponsorship opportunities: thehopefulelephant.org/partners Stay Connected: Katie’s IG: @katieehawkes Podcast’s IG: @contagiousconfidencepodcast Email: contagiousconfidencepodcast@gmail.com

Self-Worth & Leadership with Tiffany Houser, Executive Coach & Founder of EVOLVE
Let’s talk about self-worth, shall we? When it comes to confidence, I feel like self-worth is something that is often overlooked, but it’s vital to our confidence.  When we’re born we have so much self-worth. But as we start to grow up, that’s when our self-worth begins to get holes poked in it. There are people and experiences that we all encounter that cause our self-worth to be compromised so by the time we’re full-blown adults, our self-worth is almost non-existent. I could not think of a more perfect person to dive into this topic with than my guest, Tiffany Houser. Tiffany is passionate about people and transformation. As an executive & leadership coach, entrepreneur, and woman of color, Tiffany knows firsthand about the roller coaster ride of self-worth. As the founder of EVOLVE, Tiffany coaches senior leaders who are ready to experience powerful breakthroughs around their self-worth, authentic leadership style, vision, and purpose. Collaborating closely with key company stakeholders, Tiffany also designs and delivers transformative team experiences and captivating speaking engagements. Her vision is to create leaders at all levels in companies and she believes this happens team-by-team, starting with the leader of the team. Leaders who are compassionate, responsible, inclusive, and empowered. With her 1:1 coaching clients, Tiffany uncovers the hidden struggles compromising their self-worth, often lurking in their blind spots. Tiffany’s coaching creates massive clarity and confidence by reassuring them they’re not the only senior leader in a top role experiencing this and equips them with tools to unpack and transform their self-worth. Tiffany is a Michigan alum, a former SoulCycle Instructor and DJ, and serves on the Board of Becky’s Fund. Tiffany fills her cup with her partner Jay, their dog Coconut, and their adventurous life together. This conversation is so FREAKIN’ GOOD. Tiffany really breaks down what self-worth is what it has to do with confidence and why it’s so important, especially when it comes to leadership.
