John Cohen

The Naked truth interviews people and talks about subjects in a different kind of way. Instead of focusing on the surface issues, The Naked Truth dives deep to the core, revealing the inner workings behind each guest's story.  Each podcast is its own and the format is conversational. Our Editor's Take

The Naked Truth is for listeners who enjoy relaxed storytelling and conversations. Each podcast episode features an interview with a special guest. The interviews are informal and explore a range of subjects.

John Cohen hosts the podcast. Several guests on the show have a personal connection to him. For example, some guests are his friends and family. Cohen explores his guest's stories and asks them questions to gain insight into their life experiences.

Cohen's guests all have intriguing stories to tell. In the "Phoenix Rising: A story of addiction, survival, and reunification" episode, Cohen speaks to Chandra. They were once neighbors in an RV park. During their conversation, Chandra talks about her childhood and her struggles with addiction. In "Healing Thru Hiking," Micaela joins Cohen on the podcast. She shares how losing her partner led her to join a considerable hiking challenge.

Cohen welcomes more than one special guest onto the show in some episodes. He interviews three people in "The Psychology of Music." Each guest represents a different generation. Their varying ages add different perspectives to the conversation. Each guest shares what music means to them. They discuss the power music has to alter a person's mood and how it has affected their lives.

Music is a recurring theme in the show's conversations. In "The Swirling Tongues - A Band on the Run," Cohen interviews some former bandmates. Todd Kovi was The Swirling Tongue's keyboard player. Chris Esquivel was the band's lead singer. The three men recall how the band came together in the 1990s. They also discuss their gigs and the music they listened to then.

The Naked Truth podcast may appeal to those who love listening to people share their stories. A back catalog of episodes is available for those who wish to start the show from the beginning.
