The podcast's most popular segment is In the Trap. It features a variety of Black celebrities, from actors to musicians to comedians. Guests include comedians Kountry Wayne and Ali Siddiq, plus R&B group Dru Hill.

Few things show off a comedian's wit like a roast session. The 85 South Show has roasted fans in Pennsylvania and undergraduates at Texas Southern University in a comedy special. During these episodes, fans can hear the host's impressive and hilarious improv rap skills.
