Not All Yokes Are Created Equal...
TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILNot All Yokes Are Created EqualIn today's episode, we will examine the natural or literal sense of the word, yoke. Discover the yoke Jesus had referenced in his parable and why it worked so well as an illustration. All this and More coming up on the one sheep podcast...You Know in biblical times, the term yoke was a familiar term to most people. Mainly because most people were either farmers, fishermen, or shepherds. So what is a Yoke? Well, I'm glad you asked.A yoke is usually made of wood, hand-carved to fit the neck and shoulders of the animal to prevent pain or discomfort. Imagine just the top part of the Capital letter T, you then carve a half circle on both the left and right side of the the T Top and complete each half circle with a round little tree bent in the shape of a U, and connect it to the Stock or T Top after placing it around each animals neck. Thus keeping the two oxen together and forcing them to work in unison. This is the literal sense of the word Yoke.In ancient cultures, the word yoke was a term that was also used to describe submission. So when someone was described as being yoked to someone or something, it was communicating the idea that he or she was in submission to that person or thing. This would then be the natural term for yoke as it applied to people. So I guess you could say a Yoke has a dual purpose. Taming Oxen, and Taming men.A Yoke is used for taming the oxen and making them mild and gentle. The oxen could not be brought into obedience to their owner, nor to do the work which he has for them, without the yoke. It is difficult to subdue the stubbornness of some oxen with the yoke; but it would be impossible to do it without the yoke. A Yokes sole purpose is to join two oxen at the neck, and to keep them together in their work, so they draw jointly, in good order. If they were not bound together with the yoke, one would draw one way, and the other another way, and the field could not be ploughed; but when they draw together under the yoke, they mutually assist each other in opening up the soil. The yoke is of great help to the oxen in doing their master's work, after they have been accustomed with it. At first, it wounded them sorely, and they felt it heavy, painful, and very awkward: but it was their own resistance that caused the wounds and soreness from it, through their wriggling and kicking under it, "as a bullock unaccustomed with the yoke:" but the yoke is a profitable implement to the ox; when he has been exercised with it, they will bear it quietly, chewing the cud from morning till night; it feels both light and easy to him.The same can be said of the Yoke as it applies to peoples and parables..The term Yoke is found in the old testament to mean troubles, crosses, afflictions, etc. and probably that is the direct sense of the word; and if so, by bearing the yoke is meant, "enduring temptation," "humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God," "to accept punishment." It is good to bear the yoke in this sense: it is to humble the proud spirit of man, to bring down his high looks; to accustom him with troubles, in order to stop his career in sin, to slacken his progress in the broad way, to mortify his corruptions, to tame his wild nature, and to teach him to be content with whatever God ordereth for him. This is more likely to be effected in youth, than after having been long accustomed with prosperity, and hardened in sin and ease. "The prosperity of fools shall destroy them." Prov. 1. 32. But some, in old age, shall reap the fruit of bearing the yoke in their youth, even the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Some are yoked to the power of sin. They are under its controSupport the Show.

Why Do You Worry...
TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILWhy Do You Worry? If Your not a Christian right now please listen to the one sheep podcast episode: What Must I Do To Be Saved Straight From The Bible. You know one of the things I find most disturbing about Christianity today is the amount of worrying Christians do. Their lack of faith, their lack of obedience, and their desire for a political leader that could save them. They are like the early Christian church, they too were looking for a political figure to make Jerusalem... dare I say, great again? Recently, I joined a few Christian Facebook groups hoping to reach more people with the podcast and give them some inspiration and motivation to preach the Gospel.Unfortunately, It seems to be the same topics from group to group. Topics such as: If Jesus saved your life many times type amen, or If you type amen below this( insert praying hands picture) you will be blessed with many blessings tomorrow, this one kills me, if you don’t believe in the pre-trib rapture then you are not really saved, or the king James version Bible has been mistranslated, and lastly... what about the thief on the cross? All this and more coming up on The One Sheep Podcast. You know Christians today worry too much about things that do not matter two seconds after your heart stops beating. Instead of being obedient to the Holy Spirit, they get pulled in by the shiny swinging watch that says Facebook on it. It’s Swinging in front of their eyes, Satan is saying you're getting sleepy, and instead being about God's business, they go looking for a fight with another Christian about the timing of the Rapture. You do know the Apostles were all Jews, right? During that time many Jews were looking for a political leader to save them from the Roman empire. However, Jesus was never involved in Politics. He did not even care who the emperor was at the time. This was evident when the Pharisees tried to trap him by asking is it lawful to pay your taxes? 15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it. 16And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. 17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.My Point...He was not trying to make Jerusalem great again. He was about his father's business, and so should you and I be. If you do not know what is the will of the Father it is: The Great Commission Mark 16:19-2019Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.Let's break that down Barney Style.Preach the Gospel, make Disciples, and do whatsoever I have commanded you. You need to read your Bible and yield yourself up to the Holy Spirit. You cannot be fruitful without the Holy Spirit.Sadly, Some Christians within these Christian Facebook groups try to preach a false Gospel message like typing amen is somehow magical and changes lives. Some pretend to be scholars and say foolish things like The KJV Bible is mistranslated. I use a KJV and I will give you three reasons why. Number one: The KJ Bible was translated by 14 of the most educated men of King James’s time. These men were hand-picked because they spoke, and were fluent in two or more languages. In other words, they were all Valedictorians of theiSupport the Show.

Is John Mac Arthur a Heretic?
TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILWelcome to the One Sheep Podcast, I’m Frank your host.In today’s episode, we examine what was said by Pastor John Mac Arthur. If you're not familiar with John Mac Arthur he is the head of a 12 million-dollar Mega Church called Grace To You. John has been featured on Larry King and countless other talk show programs for many years. The span of John’s ministry career has been spent on Biblical Exposition. To the extent that he even produced a John Mac Arthur Study Bible. It breaks my heart to do this episode as I used to enjoy John's expositions when I was deployed to Iraq, and hungry for spiritual food in the desert. I used to listen intently, So with a heavy Heart and a Biblical scalpel we will dissect what John Mac Arthur said and determine if John Mac Arthur is indeed a Heretic. All right let's get right into it.Let’s hear from John Mac Arthur in his own words...firstSo what did you hear? What are your thoughts on the matter?I do hope to open this Podcast up to open feedback on the Club House App. If you have something to say I would love to hear from you.So, let’s dive into some feedback on the web. Well, more specifically Grace To You’s blog.I was going to read you a blog post from someone else’s online commenting about this whole ordeal. As I was reading this gentlemen's post he came off as a bit of a fanboy. I felt as if his arguments defending John Mac Arthur were clouded by his adoration of the man and so I discarded his post. He tried to compare what John Mac Arthur said and what you just heard to the unforgivable sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. He tried to imply that taking the Mark of The Beast was not an unforgivable sin. He even went so far as to try to say you could get the mark but not worship the beast and be forgiven. I find that to be disingenuous. Simply because the Holy Spirit authored all the books of the Bible. So if an Angel says not to take the Mark, You can bet the Holy Spirit told him to say that...Let’s look at a rebuttal posted by Phil Johnson one of Grace To You’s fellow mega-church pastors.Wednesday, October 30, 2013Several years ago in a live Q&A session, someone asked John MacArthur if taking the mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation would be an unpardonable sin. His answer, in short, was no. Though there is a stern warning against taking the mark of the Beast in Revelation 14, the sin is not categorically said to be unpardonable. (That would contradict Matthew 12:31.) The point of the severe language in Revelation 14 is to make clear what an utterly reprehensible sin it will be to swear an oath of willful loyalty to the Antichrist.Someone posted John MacArthur’s reply to that question on YouTube with a melodramatic one-word title in all caps: “OUTRAGE.” Gossip-mongers on the Internet got hold of it, apparently, and within days someone wrote to our ministry saying, “I saw pastor John on a YouTube video saying the way to be saved in the Tribulation is to take the mark of the Beast.”Well—no.If someone listens to Pastor MacArthur’s reply and imagines he was saying it’s no great sin to receive the mark of the Beast, listen again; that grossly twists what he actually said. The question is not (as one writer suggests) “How Far Can You Go and Still Be Able to Repent?” The point John MacArthur was making is about the extremes to which God’s grace will reach in order to seek and save a sinner.Yes, Revelation 14:9–11 says, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or Support the Show.

THE SPY WHO LOVED ME?
TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILThe Spy Who Loved Me?In this episode, we will discover if it is wrong to worship and honor Christ secretly, without confessing belief in Him publicly? The answer to this question is simple, but difficult to accept. The Year was 1977, The Spy Who Loved Me is released, the tenth spy film in the James Bond series and the third to star Roger Moore as the fictional secret agent James Bond. The film co-stars Barbara Bach and Curd Jürgens and was directed by Lewis Gilbert, from a screenplay by Christopher Wood and Richard Maibaum.  The film takes its title from Ian Fleming's 1962 novel The Spy Who Loved Me, the tenth book in the James Bond franchise, although it does not contain any elements of the novel's plot. The storyline involves a reclusive megalomaniac named Karl Stromberg, who plans to destroy the world and create a new civilization under the sea. Bond teams up with a Russian agent, Anya Amasova, to stop the plans, all the while being hunted by Stromberg’s powerful henchman, Jaws. The Film has an interesting enough title, is a highly entertaining action-packed flick, and sought after in TV guides around the world, and let us not forget, it is a favorite of my earthly father. My heavenly, father not so much, you see Jesus is not going to honor any secret Christians.  Even though for many Christians, worldwide, this is a very serious decision. Many believers' lives, or the lives of their loved ones, are on the line the moment they confess Christ.   Support the Show.
