[UNH] Lily C.A.T. (1987)

[UNH] Lily C.A.T. (1987)
You know listeners, I miss the 1980s and 1990s. During this time anime was in your face with insane stories, spectacular characters, and over-the-top ultra-violence that is rarely seen in our modern era. Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, and many others would define my anime fandom during this time. Anime just wasn't a really well-known thing back in then like it is today. Lily C.A.T. is perhaps not as spectacular as the original Vampire Hunter D, but it does pay a LOT of homage to great horror sci-fi films such as the Aliens franchise. It also most certainly takes elements from The Thing as well, and others too. In this episode, we will talk about this strange little-known sci-fi horror anime, the films that it was inspired by, and whether this is a classic OVA (original video animation) that you should go out of your way to see or just obscure anime trash. All this and much more, on this episode of the United Nations of Horror! The United Nations of Horror is a Podcast about ALL THINGS HORROR! [UNH] Scream 6

[UNH] Scream 6
Last year, we took an in-depth look at the Scream trilogy as well as Scream 4 and 5. That doesn't feel like too long ago at all but yet here we are again talking about the famous Ghostface! But this time things are a bit different. We've moved from the West coast suburbs of  Woodsboro, California, to the East coast city of New York. Now, Scream has taken place in other places before, most notably Hollywood California. We'll be sure to cover all the exits to castle UNH, including the windows with well-placed fire escape ladders right at hand. In all seriousness, we will discuss Scream 6 in-depth, where the franchise is now and where it is headed in the future. [UNH] M3GAN
It is the year 2023 and we have prepared ourselves for Armageddon Terminator 2 style as A.I. has come to take over UNH and infact all of our listeners! OH GOD THE HUMANITY! In fact, this isn't even Mark or Jason posting this but instead your friendly neighborhood artificial intelligence. But seriously, we are back to talk more about M3GAN, a very timely film that Mark discussed in our episode covering the horror films of 2022. It has some vibes of Chucky but with the element of sci-fi. After a young girls parents pass away in an accident, the child's aunt invents a cyborg that is bound to a little girl as her friend and protector named M3GAN. Things can only go right, right? We will discuss your feedback regarding the film and then discuss and review M3GAN. All this and more on this episode of the United Nations of Horror!
