Another interesting character in this collection of stories is Wild Bill Hickok. Despite being a lawman and soldier on the frontier, he became known for his gambling ways. Wild Bill also loved a gunfight, and it's one of these fights that is the focus of Dr. History's story. The No. 10 Saloon in Deadwood was the location of a poker game the night before when Jack McCall lost money to Wild Bill. The atmosphere changed when Jack walked through the doors the next day.
