McMurray has been the owner and primary operator of “One More Cast” Charters for over 20 years.He runs trips on both the skiffs and the Contenders, pretty much every day the weather allows, from mid-April through December – with the notable exception of every other Sunday, which he sets aside to take his 10 year old son fishing (AKA “Bro-day”).As is the case with any small business owner he is the chief maintenance officer, booking agent, mechanic, electrician, accountant etc.After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Loyola College in Maryland, Captain McMurray served in the US Coast Guard. After his career in the Coast Guard he was the Executive Director of the Coastal Conservation Association New York,  then Director of Grants Programs at the Norcross Wildlife Foundation in New York before becoming a full time fishing guide.Capt. McMurray is a well known and well published outdoor writer, notable for his work on fisheries conservation issues.
