His work combines the use of cognitive and behavioral strategies and deep faith in God’s healing power to help empower young people who struggle with anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal ideations, and addictions. Jared is trained in EMDR (or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.  He enjoys opportunities to share God’s healing by serving the community and educating others about mental health. Jared earned a Bachelor of Science in brain and behavioral sciences at Purdue University and a master’s in mental health counseling from the University of Indianapolis.

Send us a Text Message.Dr. Mark Dobbs, Psy.D., HSPP,  is a Clinical Psychologist and the Founder/Executive Director of IndyPsych since 1995.  Dr. Dobbs graduated from the Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. He founded the Indianapolis Christian Psychological Services and has taught as an adjunct professor in the Masters in Counseling program at Indiana Wesleyan University, as well as with the  TCMI Institute in Vienna, Austria, which is an Evangelical seminary founded by TCM International. Dr. Dobbs also serves as an elder at Chapel Rock Christian Church and has served as a trustee for Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis, IN. Mark has been married to Cheryl for over 40 years. Their daughter, Amy, graduated from Covenant Christian High School in 2009.

Since then, she worked as a Children’s Book Editor at Eerdmans Books for Young Readers in 2011 and taught Upper School English at Orangewood Christian School in Orlando, FL from 2013-2018. She also briefly taught at Grace Christian Academy in Tennessee. Currently, she is a High School English teacher at Berean Christian School in Knoxville, TN since 2022. One of Abbie's deepest passions is to see the story of the Gospel unfold within the stories she reads with her students. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, singing, and spending time with her family.Abbie has been married to Alex Gottfried since 2015, and they are raising two sons, and their twin daughters are waiting for them in Heaven.

It is the largest private school in East TX with nearly 1000 students from K-12. Before joining the school, Dr. Ferguson practiced law as an attorney in Dallas and Tyler from 1992 to 2002. He then transitioned to the education sector and served as the Director of Development at Grace Community School in 2002-2003 before becoming the Head of School.Dr. Ferguson completed his Bachelor's degree in History from Baylor University in 1989, followed by a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1992. He later earned a Master's degree in Education from Covenant College and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University in 2018.Dr. Ferguson is married to Ashley, and they have three daughters, Emma, Annie, and Ellen.

Jason has been a teacher, principal, or vice-principal since 1995. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Greek, a Master's in Religion, an Educational Specialist, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, all from Liberty University. Send us a Text Message.Dr. John Patterson is the  Head of School at First Presbyterian Day School, in Macon, GA.  After being an executive in corporate America from 1998-2002, Dr. Patterson entered the education world. He served as a teacher and basketball coach in Bedford County Schools, VA, 2002-2005, then as a teacher, basketball coach, and administrator at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, VA from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Patterson then served as the Head of School at Liberty Christian Academy from 2010 to 2020.Dr. Patterson graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was a starter for their Division I men's basketball team.  He then was an Active Duty Officer in the United States Army from 1996-2001, which included participating in Operation Desert Fox in 1998.  Later as a school administrator, he earned his Doctorate of Education from Liberty University.Dr. Patterson has been married to his wife, Cindy, for 25 years.  Cindy is also an educator. The Pattersons have a daughter, Gracie, who attends Samford University.

During his tenure, the school has seen amazing growth in spiritual formation agenda, enrollment, and academic programming. He has led multiple capital campaigns for renovations and expansion of all levels of the school, to which families have pledged over $55 million. Steve has written on a variety of topics, and he recently published a book entitled In God We Trust: Five Anchor Points for Turbulent Times.  Steve earned a Bachelor’s degree from South Florida University, and M.Ed. from MidAmerica Nazarene University, and an MA in Education and a PhD in Higher Education Administration, both from the University of Louisville. Over his 34-year career in higher educations, he has served as President and CEO of Ohio Christian University, Chief Academic Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Asbury University, and university and student life development  at Spring Arbor University. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Educational Administration from Kansas State University, a Master of Arts in College and University Administration from Michigan State University, and his Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Contemporary Ministry from Spring Arbor University. Kulaga and his wife Lena have been married for 35 years and have four adult children.

Before accepting the President position at ACSI in 2019, Taylor committed twenty years as the Head of School at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas. Before that, he served for twelve years at The First Academy in Orlando, Florida as a High School Principal and Assistant Headmaster.  He also has held teaching positions within his local public school system. Dr. Taylor received his Ph.D. in Philosophy in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University, his master’s degree from Nova University, and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.  Dr. Taylor and his wife, Delinda, have five sons.
