We are starting our look into the 1980s! This week, Megan reviews Bosom Buddies. She was particularly surprised to learn that the show was not a TV rip-off of the Oscar-award winning film, Tootsie.  Bosom Buddies was an American television sitcom starring Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari. It aired on Thursday nights for two seasons on ABC from 1980-1982 and in reruns on NBC in 1984 after Tom Hanks appeared in Splash. The show features the misadventures of two single men, struggling with low-level careers in advertising. After their apartment is demolished, they disguise themselves as women in order to live in the place they can afford... a complex where no men are allowed!  The show became known for its quirky humor and its frequent use of improvisation.
