Send us a textOur body sends us signals all day every day, many of them we listen to without a problem, (I'm cold, I'm hungry) but other messages are more confusing. Our culture has taught us--both directly and indirectly--to ignore the needs of our body and second guess the messages we receive. It can be frustrating when someone tells you to 'listen to your body' to even know what that means. What I do is help people to identify what they feel, (surprisingly, it's often different from what they thought they felt!) and teach them full-bodied listening tools. The result is developing a loving relationship with their body. Alora Kubanek runs an online pain recovery coaching business called Befriend Your Body. Through life’s experiences, observation and study, she has learned a great deal about health and healing  on all levels. With that in mind, she has certified in modalities that address problems on the Physical, mental/emotional and spiritual levels. Joan knows from experience that recovering from an illness takes time and effort, and as a result, embraces prevention and self-care to maintain good health. She grew up on a farm in Minnesota and Wisconsin but moved to Florida in the '80s.  It wasn't until 2010, however, that Heather started to look into the chemicals in commercial products. On a mission to provide patients with the cleanest, most effective oral care products on the market, Heather created Simply Silver Mouthwash, Toothpaste, and Breath Spray. Topics: 1. Root Causes of Periodontal Disease: Oral Microbiome: Periodontal disease often starts with an imbalance in the oral microbiome. Harmful bacteria, such as Porphyromonas gingivalis, can lead to plaque build-up and inflammation in the gums. Poor Oral Hygiene: Inadequate oral hygiene practices, including infrequent brushing and flossing, can contribute to the accumulation of plaque and the progression of gum disease. 2. Periodontitis: Advanced gum disease can lead to receding gums, pockets between teeth and gums, and even tooth loss. It may also be associated with chronic bad breath. 5. Importance of Regular Dental Check-ups: Routine dental check-ups are essential for early detection and management of gum disease. 6. Role of Mouthwash Products: Simply Silver Mouthwash products may contain colloidal silver, which is believed to have antibacterial properties. Some people use colloidal silver mouthwash to help control harmful bacteria in the mouth. Commercial Mouthwash: While some mouthwash products may be beneficial, it's important to use them with caution.
