Trans-Siberian Orchestra came out of nowhere in 1996 with a song called 'Christmas Eve, Sarajevo, 12-24'. And it just sounded so different than any other Christmas song at the time. The band was formed by Paul O'Neill, a composer, lyricist, producer and guitar player who literally did everything in the music business, everything from producing albums from Aerosmith to promoting tours for Madonna.  Paul passed away in 2017, but the band is carrying on his legacy and continues to tour at Christmas time every year.
