Our Editor's Take

Love Letters to Kellie... The Podcast is an advice show about romance, family, and friendships. Kellie Rasberry doesn't censor herself when answering listeners' questions about relationships. It doesn't matter if the question is about dealing with a new stepdad or a partner who doesn't want to get married. The host offers her honest and often blunt responses to help listeners sort their lives out.

The podcast host has been giving love advice for over 25 years. Rasberry joined The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show in South Carolina in 1994. The host was only 19 years old at the time and admits that her love life was a mess. Still, Kraddick thought it would be funny to make her the show's love expert. He appreciated her no-nonsense attitude mixed with charming Southern manners. Kraddick's gamble was successful as audiences fell in love with Rasberry's candor.

Nowadays Rasberry is in a loving marriage and has four children. The years of solving listeners' issues helped her change her own. The host finally became the expert she used to pretend to be. In 2020, Rasberry made her advice into a separate podcast, dedicating more time to her loyal listeners.

The questions on Love Letters to Kellie... The Podcast encompass all matters of the heart. For instance, one episode might be about a woman seeking her father's approval. It seems like anything she does ends up disappointing him and she doesn't know how to handle it. Another episode talks about addiction within a romantic relationship. One person shares her partner's porn obsession, while another talks about her fiancé's drinking problem. There are also questions about a spouse losing their job and working with an ex.

Rasberry is an empathetic host, but she's not afraid to offer difficult advice. She'll make that clear if a relationship is beyond repair. If she thinks the person asking the question is in the wrong, she'll also let them know. People come to her to solve their issues, not to get their feelings coddled.

New episodes of Love Letters to Kellie... The Podcast come out on Saturdays.
