The Missing Found

The Missing Found

The Missing Found is an investigative true crime podcast that focuses on missing person cases in the Black community that are left unsolved and cold.Statistically, African Americans receive far less media coverage than our White counterparts. According to The Black and Missing Foundation, in 2021, African Americans make up only 13% of the United States population, but our missing person percentage sits at 37%. It’s impossible to report on every case of a missing person in the country, but the divide between us and other races are severely disproportionate when it comes to media coverage. To challenge this, we started The Missing Found podcast to bring light to cases deemed unsolved and cold to offer a renewed perspective with only the hard facts, breakdown every case detail, and the possibilities thereafter. We thank you for your viewership. We look forward to conducting comprehensive analyses into the unsolved missing person cases of those who look like us.

Case Episode 24 | D'Wan Sims: A 30 Year Questionable Mystery, but There Is One Thing Missing
Apr 23 2024
Case Episode 24 | D'Wan Sims: A 30 Year Questionable Mystery, but There Is One Thing Missing
On the cold afternoon of Sunday, December 11, 1994, in Livonia, Michigan, four year old D’Wan Sims was reported missing. D’Wan was accompanied by his mom on an afternoon outing at a local mall to do some shopping, but that outing turned grim when he just…seemingly vanished. No trace of him was ever found. It even brought into question as to was he ever there. Law enforcement performed a heavy search in the mall and surrounding areas. Little D’Wan did receive coverage, but it just didn’t produce any positive or negative outcome. In fact, it left the community of Livonia in mystery and decades of uncertainty. An innocent child, gone — just vanished. Like I always say, we know someone doesn’t just vanish. When you look at the facts of the case, it makes you question everything. It makes you question the moments after D’Wan was reported, but it also makes you question what happened before to explain the oddities on the surveillance footage. You will soon see that it’s true that four year old D’Wan Sims was missing, and still is, but you will also see that there is something is missing, something off. There is a missing piece of the puzzle, or possibly a gap in the investigation. Not everything is always what it may seem. Someone knows something, and that someone — our most vital subject, most likely has the answer, but there’s a possibility, as dark as this may sound, that it was taken to the grave.I N F O R M A T I O NLivonia Police Department: 313–421–1920C O N T A C TWEBSITE: www.themissingfound.comEMAIL: info@themissingfound.com ✉ PARTNERSHIP INQUIRES: partnership@themissingfound.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Case Episode 22 | Davante Richardson: A Trip of Hopes, Dreams, and Bizarre Mystery
On Thursday, July 23, 2020, somewhere along a nearly 2,000 mile road trip — that appeared to be a spur of the moment trip of hopes, dreams, and a what seems to be a puzzling mystery; 28 year old Davante Richardson left his home in Washington, DC to Wyoming to see a friend with what seemed to be a trip to pursue something or a meeting to gain some form of relationship. We know he was in the process of building his business, he had the skill, and was set to go far in his newfound career choice — a talent that he had, but something went terribly wrong. The odd texts, the particular person he was alleged to have been attempting to go visit which is a renowned artist in today’s popular culture, the tweets, an unconfirmed witness statement of a mysterious woman at a gas station, and then everything suddenly went dark — all communication just stopped. Nothing.Until just days later, his 2016 Jeep appeared in a remote location nearly 30 hours from his home in the nation’s capital, but only 12 miles from the artists property.A case like this makes you question everything. Could there be a best kept secret that lies in the vast land of Greybull, Wyoming? Could something more sinister happened? A body can't hide itself. Either he walked away, or someone had a hand in this.I N F O R M A T I O NYour local FBI office: https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-officesDet. Case Episode 21 | Jennifer Joyce Barton: A Warning that Shouldn't Have Been Ignored
On Sunday, May 16, 1976, in Austin, Texas, 20-year old Jennifer Barton had left home to hang out with a friend to go to the movies. Jennifer spent what we now know as her last moments on record at a local bar. One minute she was there, and next she was gone, but there’s always more to the story. Both friends seemingly never made it to the movie theater. After a quick stop at a local bar, with a friend, two men, a mysterious van, it ended in nearly 50 years of mystery and unanswered questions. For decades, Jennifer’s case has gone unsolved without a trace. Some don’t think she ever left Austin, then some think she may have left to go to California. Some blame her lifestyle as the reason this case remains unsolved. When you look at the details, there may have been some signs leading up to Jennifer’s disappearance. This vanishing of Jennifer may not have come by surprise. It appears she may have knew something was headed her way or harboring a secret. What we don’t know is, was this disappearance executed at random or was it in connection of something she may have been involved in by means of retaliation?I N F O R M A T I O NIf you have any information or leads in the disappearance of Jennifer Joyce Barton, her current whereabouts, or any information concerning Jennifer, it should be directed to:Austin Police Department: 512–974–5250C O N T A C TWEBSITE: www.themissingfound.comEMAIL: info@themissingfound.com ✉ PARTNERSHIP INQUIRES: partnership@themissingfound.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Case Episode 20 | Larry Stackhouse, Jr.: All Roads Lead to One Nation
On Friday, December 2, 2005, in Syracuse, New York, 19 year old Larry Stackhouse, Jr. left home with a friend to attend a basketball game at Christian Brothers Academy. Larry spent what we now know is his last moments on record at the game. What happened after that is a mystery — a best kept mystery now proven to be a secret that sweeps the city of Syracuse.Just moments before, Larry was getting dressed and preparing for the game. His father, Larry, Sr. recounts his last conversation with his son telling him to not stay out all night. Well, it’s been 18 years and he hasn’t come back home. With rumors circulating the city, private land that has a possible connection to Larry and his disappearance, and those that he once called “friends” with rather questionable behavior.I would describe this case as a missed opportunity. So, what happened to Larry on the evening of Friday, December 2? Did he just walk away from it all, was there something in his private life that may be connected, or is there something far more sinister that only those in the inner circle know?I N F O R M A T I O NIf you have any information or leads in the disappearance of Larry Stackhouse, his current whereabouts, or any information concerning Larry, it should be directed to:Syracuse Police Department: 315–442–5111C O N T A C TWEBSITE: www.themissingfound.comEMAIL: info@themissingfound.com ✉ PARTNERSHIP INQUIRES: partnership@themissingfound.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Case Episode 18 | Phyllis Rome: A Small Town Secret and 30 Years of Grim Mystery
Nov 11 2023
Case Episode 18 | Phyllis Rome: A Small Town Secret and 30 Years of Grim Mystery
C A S E D E T A I L SOn Saturday, June 19, 1993, in Clarksdale, Mississippi — commonly known as the birthplace of blue’s music — 22-year old Phyllis Rome was preparing for a night out at a local juke joint blue’s club. It was a popular spot for locals to gather and listen to blue’s music and have a good time.Phyllis spent what we now know as her last night out on the town. Everyone saw her there, but what happened when she left is unfound.Phyllis was deaf and mute, making her an easy target to whatever evil that lurked into the hot summer night on June 19.There was an unconfirmed sighting of Phyllis on that same night by a relative. Just a few days later, another unconfirmed sighting of Phyllis was by an official at a government building, but then that statement was oddly retracted. This case is an interesting one because there are hardly any details on Phyllis’ disappearance, no details on her personal life, no updates, not many mentions of Phyllis on any public platform except for the original details that were reported back in 1993 from The Clarksdale Press Register newspaper–30 years ago, and the details on her family and friend's are scarce — but with some consistent and profound digging, I was able to locate a few family members. So, what happened to Phyllis Rome on the evening of June 19, 1993? Did she just walk away from her life? Could this be directly related to law enforcement or someone connected? Or could it be something even more sinister where someone is harboring three decades of mystery and the truth lies somewhere hidden in the depths of the small town of Clarksdale?I N F O R M A T I O NIf you have any information or leads in the disappearance of Phyllis Rome., her current whereabouts, or any information concerning Phyllis, it should be directed to:Clarksdale Police Department: 662–621–8151C O N T A C TWEBSITE: www.themissingfound.comEMAIL: info@themissingfound.com ✉ PARTNERSHIP INQUIRES: partnership@themissingfound.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Case Episode 16: Celina Mays: A Family Secret. 12 Years Old, 9 Months Pregnant, and 27 Years Missing. Who Made Her Run?
Sep 19 2023
Case Episode 16: Celina Mays: A Family Secret. 12 Years Old, 9 Months Pregnant, and 27 Years Missing. Who Made Her Run?
C A S E D E T A I L S On Sunday, December 15, 1996, in Willingboro, NJ, 12-year old Celina Mays was home preparing for bed and spending what we now know is her last moments on record. Just hours before, she attended church, had ice cream with her family, then went to bed around 11:00pm. Celina was an expectant mother, being nine months pregnant. She was due in only two weeks. In just her 12 years, Celina had a complicated life. Her family structure was curated in a way where she had very little access to the “outside world”, making this case narrowed down to those in her small world. One out of the many elements in her case that was strange is the last words she said to a relative before she went to bed. Though, it may mean something or all of nothing, it is important to note. It leaves people wondering if she chose to leave and disappear because of her circumstances or did someone make her disappear. Was someone harboring a secret, a family secret? I would describe this case as convoluted, layered, and protected. You will soon find that this case has three sides to it. What the public knows and what was done in secret…then, the truth. So, what happened to Celina on the late evening of December 15, or early morning of December 16, 1996? Could it be that she up and left while pregnant, or is her disappearance connected to someone else; possibly a secret, a family secret or a cult? On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, in Nashville, Tennessee, sixty year old Wanda Walker, was en route to go to work at the local Dollar Tree on Franklin Pike, which was only 7 minutes from her home. While en route, it was said that she experienced some car issues. She contacted her boyfriend, he fixed her car and went on about her way in the direction of her job. Sometime after her car was fixed and along her drive to work, something happened. Something took place that leaves us with 7 years of mystery; Then, something happened 17 years earlier that leaves us with 24 years of questions, connection, and possibilities. So, what happened to Wanda Walker on the day of Tuesday, October 4, 2016? Could there be a connection to a case from 17 years prior to Wanda's disappearance? I don't think so, but what do you think? Case Episode 12: The Disappearance of Cleashindra "Clea" Hall | The Second Call that She Never Made with Nearly 30 Years of Mystery | The Missing Found Podcast

Case Episode 12: The Disappearance of Cleashindra "Clea" Hall | The Second Call that She Never Made with Nearly 30 Years of Mystery | The Missing Found Podcast
On the summer evening of May 9, 1994, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, eighteen year old Cleashindra Hall was dropped off at her after-school job. High School graduation was just two weeks away as she was preparing to go to college and graduate high school as Valedictorian. Clea had big plans for her future with becoming a pediatrician and getting accepted into Tennessee State University’s pre-med program, but she didn’t get a chance to embark on any of her plans. Somewhere along the night, while at her job that was only minutes away from her home, something happened. Cleashindra never made it home, but was said to have been seen leaving in a car and several other stories that just doesn’t add up. Oddly, that was the last time anyone has ever heard anything from or seen her, including her supervisor —Dr. Larry Amos. In fact, it’s been 28 years and still with a lot of unanswered questions, strange things on the exact street she assumingly disappeared from, a home that contractors had reported something nearly unexplainable, and a tip that led to a search 18 years later. Still, no arrests have been made; and the case is unsolved and rather cold — even with all of the suspicion surrounding this one person. This one person may hold the answers that we all want to know, and may have always held the answers. With those closest to this one individual who may be harboring a secret from Summer 1994. A girl with an entire future, working, an honor student, a great family life…then, it goes dark. Clea just vanishes for nearly three decades. So, what happened to Cleashindra Hall on May 9, 1994? Could she have just walked away from it all to completely abandon her now past life? Left with a boy and something happened there? or was there something far more sinister with someone who she trusted, that may not have been in her circle, but was in her presence on that same night — in those last moments? If you have any information on Cleashindra "Clea" Hall, her whereabouts, or any information on her disappearance, we urge you to contact: Pine Bluff Police Department: 870–543–5111 ________________________________________ C O N T A C T www.themissingfound.com ✉ BUSINESS INQUIRES: info@themissingfound.com (This email is for business inquiries ONLY. Part 2 | Case Episode 10: The Disappearance of Kevin Flythe | Examining the Retaliation Theory | The Missing Found Podcast

Part 2 | Case Episode 10: The Disappearance of Kevin Flythe | Examining the Retaliation Theory | The Missing Found Podcast
In this video, I'm discussing the possible theory of retaliation.  There is no evidence to suggest this, but it is something to consider.  I give some public background details on the victim from the murder than landed Kevin in prison to offer insight on who he was and who he was, professionally.   I want to go back to the beginning to understand who our initial victim was and how it may have something to do with why Kevin is missing today.    Was Kevin set up?  The McClure family most likely knew he was being released due to the victim notification system, so is there something there that people are overlooking?  It's not factual, but interesting to consider.     I want to take a quick examination into this theory with you. ______________________________________ On the early morning of Thursday, January 27, 2022, Kevin Flythe was released from federal prison in Glenville, West Virginia after serving 28 years for the robbery and killing of Paul McClure in Washington, DC. While incarcerated, Kevin suffered a stroke that resulted in multiple ailments to the disability that he already had. Because of this, Kevin was granted an early release after serving 28 of his 35 years. After he was released, Kevin was driven to a Greyhound bus station in Charleston, West Virginia by officials at the prison. Kevin was expected to travel from Charleston to Washington, DC on his own, despite not being physically and mentally competent to do so. His cousin, Michelle Royster, was excited to finally be reunited with her cousin after 28 years. They all were waiting on his release date since it was approved by the judge. Though excited, no one knew he would be released on January 27, not his family, nor his attorney, Claire Madill, until the day of. In fact, Claire had reached out multiple times to obtain his exact date of release and his travel itinerary so that she can communicate the arrangement with her client, Kevin, and arrange a pick up for him. Michelle waited and searched for Kevin at the bus station in DC, but he never showed up. Kevin was never seen or heard from again.   If you have any information on Kevin Flythe, her whereabouts, or any information on her disappearance, we urge you to contact:   DC Metropolitan Police Department Missing Persons Unit: (202) 576–6768 | https://missing.dc.gov/  Charleston Police Department: (304) 348–6480 | http://www.charlestonwvpolice.org/contact.html  Claire Madill, Attorney: 561–766–7170, cmadill@pdsdc.org ______________________________________ P A T R E O N  Become a Member now on Patreon in "The Evidence Room".  Read about our membership and join at this link:   https://www.patreon.com/themissingfound C H A N N E L  D O N A T I O N S  Channel donations are exclusively for the channel.  All donations help us continue to present quality case analyses on our missing victims.  Though not required, it is appreciated.  Thank you for your donation.
