Why do we so easily forget that his presence has the power to destroy doubt and give us power over our problems? It is easier to trust when we seem to have nothing to fear. Can we stand firm in the face of flattery and corruption? Flattery can mesmerize us. It tells us what we want to hear, and it’s certainly easier to listen to than criticism. “Then Daniel went to his house and informed his friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, about the matter.
