SpearHead Conversations Podcast celebrates the city of Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. Xavier Mercado has a genuine love and passion for his hometown. The podcast host spent most of his life in South Milwaukee. Mercado's family moved there when he was only six months old. The host struggled with addiction in his adult years but decided to stop drinking at 32. His sobriety helped him find his purpose in life as a father, husband, and community leader. Not long after, the host founded SpearHead Conversations to uplift locals who also overcame challenges.

For example, in one podcast episode, Mercado interviews Dani Zingale. She co-owns a salon and plant shop combination on the south side of Milwaukee. The hairstylist speaks about coming up with this unusual concept and how she made it a success. Another episode invites Michael Illie Lafuente for a conversation. He founded ILLIE TINTS, which offers window tinting in Franklin. The business owner has a positive and diligent attitude that can be contagious.
