Episode 15: Parenting in the New Age of Stuttering - how Talking Town Books came to be as an SLP and Mom of a child who stutters: Part Two
Hi EveryoneIt's been a while since I've posted an episode, but this is a great episode to be back! This is part two of my conversation with Mackenzie!Today I am joined with Mackenzie from Talking Town Books. Mackenzie is a paediatric speech-language pathologist who specialises in the birth to five-year old population. Her journey to becoming a children's book author was a fated one! As her oldest child, Vaughan, began stuttering, Mackenzie and her husband knew they wanted a way to talk to him about his stutter that felt informative, celebratory and also engaging. The dream of Daniel the Digger and the Talking Town Crew grew from there - and the rest is history! Mackenzie hopes that Daniel's story inspires readers young and old to celebrate their own differences and to be a friend to hose who need one! If you enjoyed this episode, please share it with your friends and family!
