Remember that feeling you got when you’d rush home after school, wearing those butterfly clips and/or chain wallets, to watch your favorite TV shows and movies? Do you remember that thrill you’d feel at talking all about your favorite shows on your transparent corded phone or Nokia phone (if you had a Razr flip phone, wow so you were rich RICH?! God Bless)? Well, we’re all about reliving those moments, the good, the not-so-good, and everything in between on our new podcast, Growing Up Millennial. That’s right, we’re in full nostalgia mode. Go grab your scrunchies, put on your platform sneakers, and apply a healthy amount of that Dr. Pepper-flavored lip smacker. Our goal with this new show? To get you to feel that same level of triumph you’d feel when you didn’t kill your Tamagotchi (or GigaPet) on the first day of its life. That and for you to feel like you’re right there with us on a virtual blanket fort. Truly, what a time to be alive. It Takes Two (1995)

Here's the episode that was never supposed to happen: It Takes Two (1995). A departure from our Dualstar Entertainment Produced-Journey, this film starring the Olsen Twins is a throwback for the ages. Adri is joined by our resident White Man from our White Man's Corner, Seth, to talk about the shenanigans two identical strangers get up to when their world is threatened by adoption to what amounts to be a workhouse (Amanda) and an evil stepmother (Allysa). They get into some prince and the pauper-like scenarios. Like in Billboard Dad (1998), the girls hatch a matchmaking plan that they hope will solve all their dilemmas. The lucky pair? Roger Callaway (Steve Guttenberg), a communications billionaire father to Allysa, and Diane (Kristie Alley, RIP), Amanda's case worker at the orphanage. Did this 1995 movie manage to charm us? Season 1 is Launching November 1st, 2023 Season one of Growing Up Millennial holds a really special place in our hearts: the direct-to-DVD movies made by the Olsen Twins in the '90s and early aughts. These films were a staple of our combined childhood (even with our seven-year age difference), and Adri and Helene are here to dissect, discuss, and reminisce about all of them. We go through the plot, the fashion, the feminism, and we even give a voice to the voiceless in podcasting, the straight white cis dude. Even though we want to say that Our Lips Are Sealed to surprise our audience with which movies we’re going to cover throughout these eight episodes, we can safely say that you’ll get a full list pretty soon. Some may even say that you’ll see it in a New York Minute. What to expect from our first episode: We hope you have your virtual passports, pretend airline tickets, and spiritual cross-body backpacks at the ready, because we’re headed to Paris!
