Courtnie's Life is a Testimony that the Word of Truth found in the Bible will set you free.  She had a rough start and then as a teenager turned to drugs and men trying to find solace, but this path only turned into greater darkness.  It was in prison when someone unexpectedly gave her a Life Recovery Bible that everything changed.

Daphne was born into abuse and suffered abandonment at an early age.  She ran to alcohol and drugs as a way of trying to escape her life, but that only brought her more sorrow.  Daphne then found someone whom she learned had loved her from the beginning more than she could have ever imagined, Daphne trusted in Jesus and received God as her Abba Father.  Abba gave Daphne love and light to help her find her way, and now she is 18 months clean, smiling, laughing, and serving her savior with a heart that desires to help others the same way that Abba has helped her.

Kim's story is powerful and parallels the story of the prodigal son found in Luke 15.  She finally "woke up" when she found herself in the hospital with tubes coming out of her abdomen and trying to wheel herself into the bathroom to still get high.  You'll learn much and be blessed by listening!  God NEVER gives up on any of us and loves us more than we know!

Deep hurt in Fadrick's early life led him into years of deep anger and destructive behavior, but God had other plans for Fadrick, plans of redemption and plans of purpose.  Fadrick opens up and shares his deep pain, his destructive behavior, and his eventual surrender to the Lord.  This is an episdode full of powerful truths and lessons for us all to learn.

Jackie has a wonderful bubbly spirit, and from what I've heard is also an excellent baker!  But she has struggled greatly in the past with substance abuse, first with opiates and then with alcohol.  Alcohol became the "substitute" for weaning her off opiates, but when the drinking became excessive things began to fall apart.  Jackie needed help, and more importantly, she wanted help.  In Columbus, GA help will always be there for those who want it.  Jackie found her way to SafeHouse Ministries substance abuse program, Tomorrow's Hope, and our women's shelter, Grace House, and she is now building a sober, stable, and more beautiful life than ever.

Corey's journey is a testament to the power of love and the power of Jesus to change lives.  Corey was born into hardship and lost his way for many years, but God loved Corey all along and had a purpose to redeem his life.  God used the love of Jesus found in the hands and hearts of Christians at SafeHouse Ministies and Valley Rescue Mission to reach Corey's heart and transform Corey's life.  Praise the Lord for another life redeemed and reconciled!

After relistening to Peggy's interview and pondering her story, I am truly amazed.  Peggy is such a strong woman and one of the most powerful testimonies I have ever heard about what it means to be a survivor and to truly know the grace of God to carry you through immense darkness and bring you out on the other side into light and victory.  I'm not sure I could have survived had I been in Peggy's shoes, she endured hardship from the very beginning, and somehow survived through it all.  And now she has such a pleasant and wonderful spirit about her, she has a close daily walk with the God that saved her, and she is shining a light and giving hope to others by her life and her words.  Praise God for saving Peggy and for His power to save us all, no matter what we might face.

Ronnie started out with what he describes as an amazing childhood, but things quickly fell apart when he was 12 years old and his parents divorced.  At age 16 he had fallen off a cliff into hard drugs and a world of hurting himself and others.  But the Lord wanted to claim and repurpose Ronnie.  The Lord had a plan for Ronnie's life, and Ronnie states that everything turned around for the better when he started "listening to God instead of only talking to God."You'll love this week's episode and hear some great life advice.

Krystal pursued a "better life" for herself and her family, but it turned out to be instead a path of heartache and death.  She shares much of the heartache and gives some powerful lessons that if heeded by others will spare them pain and suffering that they don't need to bring upon themselves.  You will enjoy and learn much from Krystal in this week's episode.

Amber grew up in a home where drug use was commonplace and drug addiction was a way of life.  She told herself she'd never follow that path but ended up not being able to avoid it.  Amber's favorite verse is Romans 5:8 because she saw firsthand in her own life just how much God loved and pursued her even while she was living in darkness and cared nothing for Him.  Amber's story is an amazing tale of God's providence which brought her out of darkness into the light and turned her into an ambassador of that light for others.  There are so many little stories that Amber shares which illustrate God's providential grace.  Amber also shares what she now does as a case manager with SafeHouse Ministries to help people go from homelessness to having their own permanent home.

Jerome was running around at 5 years old on the playground with cocaine in his shorts as an unwitting accomplice to his Dad's drug dealing endeavors.  He progressed to armed robbery at the age of 16 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison...But God had other plans for Jerome's life.  God turned Jerome's world upside down, saved his soul, and set his life on a path to do great things to combat crime rather than contribute to it.  After being released from prison and having a new purpose in his life Jerome took bold steps to begin rebuilding his life and set out to help others rebuild their lives as well.  He met Neil Richardson while SafeHouse Ministries was in its infancy, and he began working with Neil in the work of helping others achieve victory after prison.  Jerome shares some powerful insight into the dark world of poverty and crime that many people are born into without ever having a choice, this is a longer than usual episode, but well worth the time to hear what Jerome has to say!

Raymond's life began with a dad who beat him up and a life that beat him down.  He learned from an early age to fend for himself, began dealing drugs at age 11 and landed in prison at age 19.  Raymond spent his early adult life traveling the country and visiting every state in the continental U.S. by manipulating money and service out of strangers.  At age 36 he met a woman that changed his life and caused him to change his ways.  They had a wonderful son named Sebastian, who Raymond loved dearly and to whom he became the kind of loving Dad that he never knew himself.  Then when Sebastian was 12 years old a drunk driver hit him and his mom and took both of their lives.  Raymond was crushed and began to face a continuing number of further hardships.  Raymond went back to Alcohol, becoming destitute and ended up homeless.  But God.  God created Raymond with some very special qualities, resilience like none other, compassion for others, and a humility to learn lessons even in the face of harsh and devastating circumstances.  Raymond had a grandmother whose voice and influence had far reaching power, and Raymond had a God who he would learn that loved him more than he ever knew.  This is a story you don't want to miss.

Trent had to raise himself, he made the wrong choices and chose the wrong family early on in life, falling in with a gang.  He spent 20 years in prison and hurt countless people.  But God had other plans, plans to redeem Trent, plans to use him for a greater purpose, plans to save him.  You'll love hearing Trent's amazing story and if you listen close, you'll find some great wisdom to apply in your own life, and wisdom that you can use to help others who might be struggling and on the wrong path.
