Frittle, the fudge-like brittle, a soft, crispy peanut brittle confection, was born when the then caterer developed the recipe for a wedding reception. The throwback candy went from a local artisan treat in 2012 to a national feature as a recurring QVC on-air guest, Amazon, Fresh Market, JoAnn Fabric, Fresh Thyme, Ingles, Market District, Target, Barnes & Noble, and shelves of other regional and national retailers. After building a successful business with Newfangled Confections, Carrie scaled and diversified her product offering with the acquisition of a craft chocolatier company, The Best Chocolate in Town in 2020. This purchase allowed her to not only bolster her current confectionery inventory but also add new lines of business which resulted in company growth in the midst of a pandemic.Carrie is a forever optimist and believes in empowering her team.
