Intellectual Property and COVID Vaccines
This "podcase," a new teaching tool from Stanford GSB, is an audio version of a case study focusing on one critical aspect of the production, allocation, and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine: the sharing of intellectual property. In the podcase, we cover ethical, strategic, and public policy issues in intellectual property, narrowing in on controversies over global access to Covid vaccines during 2020-2021. The case raises issues of fairness, consequences for public health, and the effects of incentives for innovation. This podcase is a production of Stanford Graduate School of Business.
