Mixed Signals Are No Signals
Welcome to episode 19 of Sit Back & Chat! There are many not so great things that can take place when getting into the dating scene. In this week's episode, Brooklyn B talks about the horror of mixed signals. Not sure if they like you? Listen to this unapologetically, blunt episode . This episode is a jam-packed chat that covers multiple topics in great detail all while maintaining a hangout like environment. Though Brooklyn B doesn't always tell you the news you want to hear, just know it is out of love and coming from experience... unfortunately lol. Other topics covered in this episode include: Being confused overall, knowing when someone likes you, being attached to someone's potential, taking things for face value, seeing rejection as a positive, shooting your shot, the hurt of being led on, bouncing back, the normalization of toxicity and games, wasting time, etc. As you can see, a lot is covered and that isn't even all of it! At the end, Brooklyn B tells her own personal story regarding mixed signals. Let's just say it was a yikes. The secondhand embarrassment is real and it is definitely a story that you are not going to want to miss. The good thing is, most of us have been there. Be sure to tune into this relatable episode. It truly feels as if you are best friends with the host and you guys are chatting at a coffee shop. Go On A Date First, Talking Stage Later
Welcome to episode 18 of Sit Back & Chat! Is it just me or does the talking stage do things out of order? I see the people around me talking to a person for weeks over text and then hanging out with them after they have invested so much time and energy just to realize that they don't even like them... Tragic, isn't it? Instead of this, why don't we just normalize going on a first, getting to know the person type of date and then deciding if this is even a person you want to go into the talking stage with? That is the question at hand. In this week's episode, Brooklyn B challenges the order and typical operation of the modern teen/young adult talking stage and tells all about what she believes should be normalized instead. Forget the games and the gimmicks, am I right? This episode covers a lot of topics in relatively little time. Things such as "the talking stage", situationships, ghosting, leading on, etc are covered. Brooklyn B's opinion and guidelines on how the first, getting to know someone date should look like are discussed under the umbrella of the 3 categories she organized it by: Transportation, Compensation, and Experience. Many close to free date options are given as well! This jam packed episode includes things anyone could learn about but is directed towards those who are in the range from Sophomore in High School to Sophomore in College. Important Timestamps|0:00 - 6:05 Important disclaimers regarding my intentions in making this series and very relevant safety information.6:05 - 8:45 Main point of the episode clarification due to the fact that it during the actual episode I spoke about the episode’s main point as if the audience knew what I meant. 8:45 -11:21 Podcast Intro11:21-33:38The “meat” of the episodeFollow Sit Back & Chat on Instagram~https://www.instagram.com/sitbackandchat.podcast/Like Sit Back & Chat on Facebook~https://www.facebook.com/sitbackandchat.podcastShow Your Support: Buy The Podcast A Coffee!~https://www.buymeacoffee.com/sitbackandchatAll links relating to the podcast & the host~https://linktr.ee/brooklynboykinsJustice For Chunky: Stop People Who Abuse Animals From Owning Ever Again Petition~http://chng.it/FSySMsMMq917 Safe Dating Tips for Teens and Parents https://www.verywellfamily.com/safe-dating-tips-for-teens-and-parents-5100832

Accountability: Let's Talk About It
Welcome to episode 14 of Sit Back & Chat! On this week's episode host, Brooklyn B, covers many aspects of accountability. In the intro rant, Brooklyn B talks about holding grudges, rotating friends, and not responding to people for days on in. In the main part of the episode, many elements and aspects of accountability are discussed and uncovered. Pride, ego, victim mentality, adults being notorious for not apologizing to those of the younger generations, how people would rather gaslight, manipulate, and/or deflect than just simply apologizing, and much more is talked about in an open and honest conversation with listeners. Brooklyn B even gives the audience an example of a clear, concise, but effective apology. The host also gives advice and guidance on how to look at things from other people's perceptive when you feel as if you did nothing wrong. Towards the end a message to adults from Brooklyn B is given when it relates to apologizing to kids (especially their own). This episode provides lots of insight under the blanket of a causal conversation that one would have with a close friend.
