The Swahili word safari means "long journey." Originally from the Arabic سفرة (safra) meaning a journey. The verb for "to travel" in Swahili is "kusafiri", the noun for the journey is "safari". The Safari Experience is a series of mixes that explores different layers of Deep House music including Afro, Ancestral, Tribal & Tech House from the African continent, Europe and worldwide. The Safari podcast has now developed into the Afrotronik mixes that is also an event that captures the essence of African Electronic Music fusing various sounds including Afro House, Afrotech, Progressive & Deep House Music. read less

AFROTRONIK is a concept born in 2015 coined by Aluku and JP which began as a conversation, that later was transformed into an event. AFROTRONIK is a fusion between Afro Deep and Tech with elements of futuristic electronic sound. In 2015 very few artists were producing this type of music on the SA scene however the pair knew this would be the sound of the future.
