Boomers to Gen Z: Bridging the Generational Divide
A panel discussion about bridging the generational divide from Boomers to Gen Z. Stereotypes run deep and block meaningful communication between the generations. Hank Eder is representing Boomers. Entrepreneur Tara Ballard speaks for Gen X. BizRadio.US production manager, Aaron Mittan is here for Millennials, also known as Gen Y. Personal trainer and entrepreneur Ricky Shic is representing Gen Z.We’ve all heard the rhetoric. Boomers are old codgers who chase you off their lawns, while Gen Z are a bunch of lazy bums who live in their parents’ basements and don’t want to work. The memes are everywhere! Truth is, that kind of talk does nothing but slam the doors of communication. No two members of any generation are alike, and stereotypes do everybody a disservice. The generations can all learn from each other. This discussion is a step in the right direction.Contact Hank EderEmail:  hank@hankeder.comWebsite: www.hankeder.comContact Tara BallardEmail: tara@primelifefit.comWebsite: www.primelifefit.com (start a chat at the bottom of the screenContact Aaron MittanEmail: bizradious@gmail.comWebsite: BizRadio.USContact Ricky ShicYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChOQ4esO5gdK9rbTF7qul5gFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/StayhappyeverybodyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/ricky_shic_fitness_for_you/channel/This program is sponsored, in part, by:EverOpenHouse.com, and:BestShoppingEver.US Be sure to visit BizRadio.US to discover hundreds more engaging conversations, local events and more.

The Mindful Marketplace: A Win-Win for Business & Local Communities
Joel Skene, is host of The Mindful Marketplace on Biz Radio.US. He studied community development in college, spent time with the Peace Corps, worked as a social worker, director of a food bank, and then as social enterprise manager for a healthy food access non-profit. There he attended a conference for Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, where he learned from entrepreneurs who used their business to fund social change, people who were using business and capital as a means to greater good. Joel’s forays into the business world led him to financial services for families to protect their assets, prevent foreclosures or market loss, and educate them on best ways to get out of debt. Motivated to leverage his position and capital into local, independent, and mission-driven businesses, Joel started the Mindful Marketplace Show, sharing stories of entrepreneurs, investors, economists and business leaders who are not only making a profit, but who are creating more equitable, sustainable, and democratic business practices and communities along the way. It's about learning to connect our money and our time to our values, our community, and ourselves.Email: joel@mindfulmarketplaceshow.comWebsite: https://www.mindfulmarketplaceshow.com/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/joelskene/This program is sponsored, in part, by:EverOpenHouse.com, and:BestShoppingEver.US Be sure to visit BizRadio.US to discover hundreds more engaging conversations, local events and more.

Do What You Love: Photographer Steve Reisch

Do What You Love: Photographer Steve Reisch
Portrait photographer Steve Reisch has been self-employed for the majority of his adult life. He says early on he worked for both large and small companies, but it was not a rewarding experience. He knew he had to start his own business. His personal preferences had always been the arts. Throughout high school and college, he had always enjoyed acting in theatrical productions. Once he realized that The Corporate Life was not a good fit, he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck at film acting. He says it was a wonderful life for 4 or 5 years. The tough part was making a living in an industry that had 98% unemployment. Fortunately, someone gave him a camera and he started taking photos of my fellow actors.Steve says at first, he thought he was going to get arrested for knowing zero about photography and charging people to do their headshots. Nevertheless, he realized he was good at it and getting better with every photo session. He photographed hundreds of actors in those first few years. Later on, he started photographing weddings and events with 3 or 4 photographers working for him. He loved taking photographs and making a good living was a major bonus. He says the one thing that propelled him over the years was his love for photography. Making a living at it was a secondary bonus. Maybe he was naïve, possibly courageous but he says he’s certainly very grateful for all that his chosen profession has given him.Steve now calls Asheville his home. Not too long ago, a client of mine needed new head shots, and I sent her to Steve. She liked his work so much she brought him back to photograph her entire staff, Welcome to the show, Steve.Email: srcamera@aol.comWebsite: https://headshots1.comThis program is sponsored, in part, by:EverOpenHouse.com, and:BestShoppingEver.US Be sure to visit BizRadio.US to discover hundreds more engaging conversations, local events and more.
