DCP 16 | Dr.George Fraser: Why wealth is important
Welcome to our weekly podcast here at Dream Cast Project. Every week, we focus on a different topic related to our mission of supporting everyone to live a life of abundance, rediscover their passion and purpose, and understand how the life that you have been dreaming of is possible - regardless of your starting point. This week's topic is why wealth is important.I want to start with a provocative question today, and that is - did you know it will take 288 years to close the wealth gap between black and white families if nothing changes?Yes, 288 years; as Dr. Geord Fraser says, β€œThere is a lot we need to fix as people of color, the global majority -  because no one else will fix it for us.”Yes, generational wealth is important, but it is something that takes time to fix; we have to start now by starting to fix our mindset; we need to instill a generational wealth mindset, get rid of the β€œliving for Friday night” mindset, to break the cycle of poverty. This is why we are so passionate about supporting thought leadership through our Dream Cast Project work. Work that Dr George Fraser has dedicated his life to.I’m excited to introduce… Dr George Fraser is one of my favorite speakers addressing the wealth gap. Enjoy.Source: Wealth is importantπŸ‘ If you enjoyed this podcast, please give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends, and subscribe for more content!πŸ‘‡ Connect With Us:πŸ“Έ Instagram:⏰ TiktokπŸ“˜ Facebook🌐 WebsiteThank you for being a part of our community! πŸ™ Let intentional thought create and manifest the future you want! πŸ’–

Welcome to our weekly podcast here at Dream Cast Project. Every week we focus on a different topic related to our mission of helping everyone live a life of abundance, rediscover your passion and purpose, and understand how the life that you have been dreaming of is possible - regardless of your starting point. Our topic this week is Wealth and I’m excited to introduce Melinda hightower.  A tax lawyer and financial analyst by trade, Melinda Hightower now runs a division of UBS focusing on Multicultural Investments.  Melinda talks about a recent report on the wealth of black women and shares with us the importance of financial literacy as well as some key ideas for building generational wealth amongst the global majority. An area I’ve personally enjoyed learning more about is investing and trading. I’ve always been a strong advocate of women managing their own money and love that I’m now able to actively make my money grow through what's previously been the secret of a few rich white males - the stock market. Join me as we learn more from Melinda hightower.Source: Black Women and Wealth πŸ‘ If you enjoyed this podcast, please give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends, and subscribe for more content!πŸ‘‡ Connect With Us:πŸ“Έ Instagram:⏰ TiktokπŸ“˜ Facebook🌐 WebsiteThank you for being a part of our community! πŸ™ Let intentional thought create and manifest the future you want! πŸ’–

DCP 13 | Jade Simmons: Maverick Behavior

DCP 13 | Jade Simmons: Maverick Behavior
I wish I could play a piano like Jade Simmons. For years I tried to find my  passion and my purpose. I wasn’t very good at sports, I was just an average student, I wasn’t in the in-crowd, so was not at all cool or entertaining. My hair was too curly, I, was always a little overweight and spoke with a very weird accent.  When I finally learnt to love and embrace that little girl who so desperately wanted to fit in, I realized what Jade Simmons talks about next - that your purpose is that thing that happens in other people when you do what you do.  And often times you don’t even know that you’re doing it. Jade says it’s scary to believe that the big thing in your heart, the big vision, is actually something you were designed to have and that people were designed to want and need.  Jade Simmons trained as a classical concert pianist. But she realized her purpose when she stopped trying to be like every other classical pianist before her and made one tiny change that transformed her career - she was brave enough to be authentic. So here’s a reminder that you are amazing and that you are designed to do that thing in your heart and make a difference in the world.  Here’s is Jade Simmons, classical musics #1 maverick. πŸ‘ If you enjoyed this podcast, please give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends, and subscribe for more content!πŸ‘‡ Connect With Us:πŸ“Έ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dream.cast.project/.⏰ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dreamcastproject.πŸ“˜ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dreamcastproject.🌐 Website: https://dreamcastproject.com/.Thank you for being a part of our community! πŸ™ Let intentional thought create and manifest the future you want! πŸ’–

DCP 5 | It's now called quiet quitting
Today we have a topic that has been front of mind for us for a couple of weeks. It's been in the media, quite a lot. The topic of quiet quitting, what is quiet quitting. Quiet quitting is a new term for something that's been happening for a long. It use to be called employee disengagement, where employees become disengaged with their organization and start doing less than they used to before. It's just a new term given to it. It's now called quiet quitting. The term itself has blown up after a TikToked posted a video that went viral. β€œI recently learned about this term called quiet quitting, where you're not outright quitting your job, but you're quitting the idea of going above and beyond. You're still performing your duties, but you're no longer subscribing to the hustle culture mentality.”Essentially, what he is saying is that you're NOT defined by your job title.Your worth is NOT defined by your productive output at work. Your self-worth is NOT defined by your job title. This is where we're getting to, especially after the past three years of constant struggle, emotional and physical for a lot of people more and more people are realizing now that their worth is not defined by their job.Five years ago where we realized that we were putting in or giving almost a hundred percent of ourselves to our job, to our employers. We were working ourselves to death often in jobs that we didn't really like and missing out and spending time with our young family Therapy comes in different forms and I always found daily journaling or podcasting great forms of therapy. Believe in the possibility of your dreams and stay the course.#dreamcastproject #notanumberlyHave an amazing weekend ahead.πŸ‘ If you enjoyed this podcast, please give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends, and subscribe for more content!πŸ‘‡ Connect With Us:πŸ“Έ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dream.cast.project/.⏰ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dreamcastproject.πŸ“˜ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dreamcastproject.🌐 Website: https://dreamcastproject.com/.Thank you for being a part of our community! πŸ™ Let intentional thought create and manifest the future you want! πŸ’–
