Hustle culture is dead. Did our drive go away? Or did it morph into something new?

Hustle culture is dead. Did our drive go away? Or did it morph into something new?
Today, I want to talk about ambition. Right now, I’m in the middle of my own reckoning with it. If you’re feeling the same way, then this episode is for you. We’re beginning to dismantle what ambition means and how it shows up. It’s not us that’s the problem but the environment. I don’t want to feel like I have to contort, trim, or lessen who I am to fit an idea the world presents to me. So I’m opting out. Demolishing ideas and beliefs to rebuild one brick at a time. My question becomes….does ambition have a place in my life if it’s not the hustle and grind way? Let’s talk about this.Read the full blog post about this episode hereResources:Article: What Comes After Ambition? by Ann FriedmanTHIS WEEK’S INTENTIONI’m ambitious in the unfolding of my truest, natural life. I walk toward my ambitions through laughter and inspiration. THIS WEEK’S WRITING PROMPTWhat “obstacles” are in my life that stop me from fully leaning into my creative endeavors? How a mother of 4 kids started a successful business with Hayley Clark
Motherhood. Entrepreneurship. Often, women are unsure if they can do both. Or if they even want both. Growing up, I believed motherhood meant losing yourself. And becoming invisible to the world. Boy, was I wrong. With a little girl now of my own, my idea of what women are capable of expanded. That’s why I love this conversation with Hayley Clark, founder of Honey Mark. As a mama of 4 and successful business owner I had to talk to her about being a woman, mother, and dreamer.Having 3 kids in 2.5 years was a big challenge that later became a huge inspiration for Hayley's swimsuit collection. After years of designing and many miracles, Hayley launched her company, Honey Mark. As soon as Honey Mark launched, it caught like wildfire and has since helped tens of thousands of women find the perfect swimsuit that hits the sweet spot of cute and comfortable coverage. The journey in balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship was life-changing and she hopes to inspire moms out there to continue to be their authentic selves and pursue their dreams. Read the full blog post about this episode hereWe talk about…[3:18] - Sacrifice and the work of balancing family life and business[9:47] - The journey to Honeymark[16:28] - The growth of a business and trusting your gut and intuition[23:13] - Understanding the beauty of motherhood and finding yourself again[29:05] - Allowing motherhood to empower you[34:47] - Where can we start with business and motherhood and believing in the process[41:40] - Tackling the big things by setting goals for yourselfQUOTES“I didn’t know what I could do until I became a mom.
