Forgiveness: How Do You Go from Agreeing to Believing? (10/13/13)
How do you go from agreeing with "forgiveness" to believing and actually doing it? Jesus said: because you claim to see, your sin remains. BOND Archive Sunday Service, October 13, 2013: Jesse Lee Peterson relays a question: How do you go from agreeing with forgiveness to believing into it so it actually works? People say they see their anger, and realize they should forgive, but can't seem to let go! They trip out suddenly: Unforgiving people are unhappy and lonely. They're afraid; they're defensive when embarrassed. In John 9, Jesus told the Pharisees: If you were blind, you would not be guilty. But because you say you can see, your sin remains. In John 5, Christ said: I can do nothing of myself. 00:00 Sun, Oct 13, 2013 00:56 How to believe and forgive? 05:56 Agree but can't do it? 12:45 Tripping on short notice 14:34 Unforgiving, unhappy, "lonesome" 17:51 One lady looks at herself 20:36 "I'm not there yet"…brings on fear 23:50 Don't embarrass me! 25:00 Jesus to the "seeing": Your guilt remains 32:51 Christians like the Pharisees (John 9) 37:12 Seeing means your healed 41:58 Man can't forgive; faith not in wife 48:38 Wife speaks 51:20 Knowing but not doing forgiveness 53:40 If not living it, do you know it? 57:01 God takes it out 59:08 John 5, Jesus: I can do nothing Throwback Sunday Services premiere on BOND YouTube channel Wednesdays at 4 PM US Pacific Time (7 PM ET). Do You Believe That There Are Demons? (Church 7/31/22)
Are you afraid of dying? "Dying" is just a word. Did you forgive your mother? What the demons look like: Thoughts, emotions, gossip, judgment. Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, July 31, 2022: A man brings his Dutch wife for the first time. Another newcomer has not forgiven his "Superwoman" mother or late father. // Why are you afraid of dying, or not afraid? The world's "experts" use words like death to control you through emotional reaction. // Biblical Question: Do you believe that there are demons? Are You a Slave to Thoughts? (Church 7/24/22)
Christianity's hated because darkness hates light. Biblical Question: Are you a slave to your thoughts? Stop trying to control things. Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, July 24, 2022: Christianity has under attack since Jesus's days (Christ who raised Lazarus), because darkness hates the light (John 11: 39-48 and John 3: 19-20). // We welcome first-timers, some of whom know nothing about JLP! // Biblical Question: Are you a slave to your thoughts? (Jesse discussed this at the Women's Forum on Thursday.) One man gets exhausted reading and seeking knowledge. A newcomer feels crazy with the battle between her "higher and lower self." Another driven man calls his mother every day. Can you be "too present"? // After Nick reads from 2 Corinthians, which says the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life, Jesse makes his point: You're not in control. If you ever have fear or doubt, you're a slave to thoughts. Reality is within, out of thoughts. Let life happen; lay your weapons down. You're not protecting yourself, but the ego, the not-you. // 0:00:00 Sun, Jul 24, 2022 0:01:15 Christianity under attack: Darkness hates light (Bible) 0:15:45 Welcome, first-timers: Forgive parents 0:22:18 Biblical Q: Are you a slave to thoughts? 0:26:10 Obsessive research, imagined conversations 0:37:48 Women's Forum ladies answer 0:44:32 Are there two 'yous' in one body? 0:52:19 Going to gym, stooping to another level, drive to success 1:07:54 Become like mother; forgive her? 1:15:30 Living in the now, a detriment? Revolver: From Where Do You Get Your Security? (Church 7/17/22)
Yet again, we discuss "Revolver," which reflects the world living in their imagination! Biblical Question: From where do you get your security? Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, July 17, 2022: We open by talking even more about the movie "Revolver" (2005, with Jason Statham and Ray Liotta), discussing thoughts and the enemy within you. The film reminded Jesse of when he went to forgive his mother. You can life life free of thoughts. But in your cares, you pray to the Devil in vain, and not to God. Don't give up on watching yourself. No one is your problem. With suicidal thoughts, the Devil is talking to you. Biblical Question: From where do you get your security? Let life happen, and stop blaming others for your overreaction. Face fear, and in the light, God will take it. Don't go with the crowd; be an individual, and question what you think you know. Jesse humorously recounts where he used to get his security: Strawberry pop, black walnut ice cream, and peanuts — all mixed together! God gives us warnings even in our fallen state. Listen to them. In reality, as you come into the light, you realize you don't need security. 0:00:00 Sun, Jul 17, 2022 0:02:20 More on 'Revolver,' thoughts, enemy within 0:15:23 JLP: Like forgiving mother; Life free of thought 0:33:50 Praying to the Devil; Don't give up on you 0:51:58 No one is your problem; suicide: The Devil talking 1:03:27 Biblical Q: From where do you get your security? 1:11:52 Let life happen; Stop blaming; Face the fear 1:19:13 Be an individual; JLP's 'security'; Suicide; Warnings 1:37:10 JLP: Don't need security / Closing BLOG POST and PODCAST: ALSO ON SUBSTACK: Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday 11 AM PT at BOND in Los Angeles SILENT PRAYER: | AUDIO

The Narrow Gate, Matt. 7: 13-14 (Archive 9/15/13)
Do not always "help" nor ever feel sorry for others! How do you enter the narrow gate? Take the ego pain without reaching for anything. BOND Archive Sunday Service, September 15, 2013: One man shares a story of bringing trouble on himself by "helping" a neighbor with his swimming pool in the wrong way. Another man admits to feeling sorry for a servant class in Thailand whom he heard about, where his wife spent time working. He related to them because of slavery in America. But the "poor" people can have a better attitude and be happier than the "rich." Have a good attitude. Jesse then reads Matthew 7: 13-14, in which Jesus says, "Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it." People talk about what it means. (Amid the conversation, Jesse talks with a newly homeless man on drugs who resents his parents' shaming him.) Know and admit that you don't know! To enter, totally surrender — don't hold onto anything. Relax in the inner pain without reaching out to anything. 00:00 Sun, Sep 15, 2013 00:35 Not helping people 04:40 Feeling sorry for servants 20:39 I can't do anything right 25:16 Narrow gate? Revolver: Facing the Devil Within (Church 7/3/22)

Revolver: Facing the Devil Within (Church 7/3/22)
The movie Revolver shows how Satan works the mind, pretending to be you. Are you an individual? Do you keep God's greatest commandment? Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, July 3, 2022: After briefly discussing the Fourth of July and welcoming first-timers, we talk about the movie "Revolver" (by Guy Ritchie), which Jesse recommended. Different scenes depict the Devil in one man's mind, pretending to be the man. An expert called Deepak Chopra called it "the ego" and denied it's the Devil, but it is the Devil. One character goes to apologize to another, and the prideful chatter and impulses in his mind are going crazy. People want you to resent and fear them, so they can control you. We then discuss: Are you an individual? Unless you become an individual, you will not know God. Stop trying to control anything; let things be, and don't protect the ego, or Satan in you. Face the fear and weaknesses. Biblical Question: Do you keep the greatest commandment? Love God with all your heart, along with nothing else, and you will naturally love others. New Biblical Question: If you lost your insanity, who would you be? ANNOUNCEMENT: We're live on JLP tomorrow for Independence Day, but the office is closed. Are You the Prodigal Son? (Church 6/26/22)
The movie "Revolver" exposes the ego, the Devil. Both political sides have the same spirit. Biblical Question: Are you the Prodigal Son? Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, June 26, 2022: We open with reaction to the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade. Jesse recommends the movie "Revolver," about the ego (which is really the Devil) disguising itself and possessing you. Give up the fight protecting the ego; you're not that important. If plagued by a thought, just relax. Pro-lifers and "pro-choicers" operate from the same ego spirit; there's another way. (We hear an update from the woman who cried last week.) Should you plan for what you want? No one knows what they want. It's all ego; it's not you, and it's not from God. Different ladies talk about how BOND has helped them in forgiveness, prayer, and letting go. Biblical Question: Are you the Prodigal Son? People talk about getting into vices at different points in life. Jesse says that everyone who has been turned away from their father is the prodigal son or daughter. But once you return to the father, you realize God never judged you. That was the Devil in you and others, keeping you judging and searching in the wrong places. New Biblical Question: Do you love God with all your heart, soul, and might, and love your neighbor as yourself? 0:00:00 Sun, Jun 26, 2022 0:01:53 Roe v. Are You in a Wrong Human Relationship? (Father's Day Church, 6/19/22)
Have you ever said "thank you"? Why have you ever feared failure? A young girlfriend cries. Jesus was not a Jew, but of the Spirit of the Father. Father's Day Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, June 19, 2022: Jesse opens by inviting a young father to speak, and welcoming first-timers talking about forgiving their parents. We then discuss the Biblical Question: Are you in a wrong human relationship? Have you ever said "thank you" to someone? Have you ever been afraid of failure? Why? Some misguided parents tell their children: "I want you to be better than me." A young woman breaks down crying, insecure about how her past might affect her relationship. She's hung up on "honoring" her boyfriend. Forget about the past! Honor God, not human beings. Nobody knows what they want. Jesse says that every human being is in a wrong human relationship. He talks about a caller Anna who sent him thought-provoking information. Jesus was born of the Spirit of his Father, not of his Jewish mother. Galatians 3: 28 says that there is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave nor free, male nor female, for we are all one in Christ. Don't join groups or have leaders. 06/05/22 Do You Have True Courage? (Church)
The world is full of evil, confusion, and unhappiness. Question yourself in your anger. Biblical Question: Do you have true courage? Stay in the now, not the imagination. Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, June 5, 2022: Jesse opens by commenting on evil and insanity in the world, with shootings, attacks on the Second Amendment, and "LGBTQ" propaganda to children. Nobody's happy: Kim Kardashian reportedly said she'd eat poop if it helped her stay young-looking. Many people lie to themselves about having forgiven, but don't question themselves when they trip out and get angry over small things. Jesse briefly retells of forgiving his mother, and the spirit of anger being taken from him. We discuss at-length the Biblical Question: Do you have true courage? Most people are not "all-in." Some are afraid to call themselves Christian! One man feels he should directly confront a "Christian" friend who's having sex before marriage, or not associate with him. Jesse urges people to stay on the narrow path, not give names to evil, such as alcoholism or addiction, and claim them as their own. All thoughts are all lies. Each is responsible for one's own overreaction. Trust God; in God, there is no fear, doubt, worry, or feelings.
