Manuela passed away from cancer - leukemia, aged 37, as far as Gallo knew she'd gone into remission 7ish years prior. Mike's Mom Catherine was diagnosed with brain cancer around 1995 and passed away in 2006. She was approximately aged 54. Even though she lived 11 years, her condition deteriorated over the years and was an invalid for much of that time. Quinn's Dad passed in 2014 due to heart failure. He was 74. He was a smoker and not in the best overall health, but was on the mend. He'd been sober from alcohol for almost Quinn's entire life, overcoming years of binge drinking and mood swings. Quinn's Dad was also, unfortunately, homeless and living in his car at the time he died. Heather's Mother died of a bleeding heart, literally. Heather describes her Mom as the most kind, giving, self sacrificing person she has EVER met. She was 52 years old when she passed. She had severe diabetes and multiple conditions associated. Dalene's Father passed first very quickly after a fall that then revealed heart failure and possible bladder cancer at the age of 89. He was the caretaker at the time for her Mother who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. As a family, they took over that caretaker role for 14 months until she passed at the age of 88. After Dalene's Mother passed, she hit a real deep depression and she believes it took this long  because she was the executor and had a lot of responsibilities immediately after both of their deaths. Mercedes' Grandfather made it to 90 with every common health disease you can think of. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, blindness, heart failure, etc. On paper, it is detrimental; in reality, he was strong. After 7 years of his passing, the emotional charge has lessened for Mercedes and she admits she can logically understand how his ending was anticipated. Yet as many may know with grief, "when you're in it, you're in it and cannot see out". Heather's Dad died suddenly, sort of, at the age of 57. Shortly after she moved across the country, he develop severe pain in his back and legs. It progressively got worst until he was bedridden. Heather's Dad had a sudden decline in health when she returned home to visit and when admitted to hospital had a massive stroke. He was admitted into a long term care facility where he declined rapidly, but made what they thought was a recovery. Then suddenly he was gone.
