She is part of the 5th cohort of Distintas Latitudes, a training fellowship for young journalists in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her work has appeared in news outlets such as Al-Jazeera, Foreign Policy, France 24, and The New Humanitarian, among others.The English and Spanish versions of this story were performed by Carolina Loza León.
