Overcoming Overwhelm & Living Your Dreams with Christine Wilson
What would you do if you had all the time you needed? Join me in this fascinating episode with my friend Christine Wilson, mom of six, licensed professional counselor-turned-coach, and the founder of the first whole brain planner on the market, the Think Time Planner. And she is also now my neighbor!   After creating a pen + paper neuroscience experiment in her garage, Christine developed a whole-brain process to help people get their brain on their team, fight distractions, and start living their dreams. As one who struggled with ADHD, distractions and overwhelm, Christine knew how hard it was to find time for what mattered most, and she wanted to help herself and others overcome these obstacles. For 8 years now, Christine’s company, Think Time, has been changing lives and equipping people to get more of the right things done in less time. LISTEN IN, and let Christine teach you how to “get your brain working like a Tesla rather than a 1950s Ford.” You’ll learn some surprising strategies for overcoming overwhelm and living your dreams - whether in your business or day-to-day life.  ~ ~ ~ ~ SHOW NOTES: Christine Wilson on Instagram: @thinktimeplanner Get your free download of The Dream Sheet at think-time.com Buy a Think Time Planner for 10% off - enter code “kindred” at checkout Think Time Membership Community The Power of One More by Ed Mylett Simplicity Parenting by Kim John Payne Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend Wild + Free The Kindred Life Podcast Ep. 45: Meaningfully Busy Go to this episode’s blog post for photos and more at ChristineMarieBailey.com/blog. The No-Edit Life with Steven Bailey (part 4)

The No-Edit Life with Steven Bailey (part 4)
He’s back! Once again, there are NO EDITS and no plan for what to talk about! 🫢 Join me for another fun conversation with inspiring entrepreneur and incredible chef, my fellow farmer and adventurer, my husband, Steven Bailey. On the evening of a date night at home, Steven and I sit down to chat together again in the studio here on Kindred Farm about the joys and challenges of the huge building project we’re currently in the midst of, and so much more. What we share in this freestyle convo is what you get to hear!  A few of the things we discuss in this episode… Carrying the weight of responsibility for a big dream project How you can approach the “big barn project” in your own life The opportunity to leave a legacy through what we create here on earth Why Steven loves developing his artisan pizza recipes and why we want to offer more dinners, classes, and pizza experiences in the near future There’s no shortage of creativity, but how do two dreamers dial in what we’re actually going to do in this new, incredible space we’re building? Join us as we figure it all out! 💛 Steven Bailey is a private chef, regenerative farmer, menu-creator, and farm-to-table consultant. Raised by a mother from the rice fields of South Korea and a father who grew up on a North Carolina tobacco farm, Chef Steven Bailey (a.k.a. The Korean Farmer) has been trained by his taste buds and unique Korean/Southern cultural heritage rooted in food and agriculture. As a private chef for his weekly clients and special occasion dinners, Steven crafts creative and inspiring food - from kimchi tacos to hand cut pappardelle, and everything in between. Steven attended Baylor University in Waco, TX, where he began cooking and baking and was probably the only guy in his fraternity to own a Kitchen Aid Mixer. Right out of college and living in Dallas, Steven started a missions travel company called 963 Missions and a fair-wage coffee company before founding Urban Acres, an organic produce co-op, market, and urban farm, in 2009. After selling Urban Acres in 2015, he moved his family to the rolling green hills of Santa Fe, Tennessee where they broke ground and began Kindred Farm. ~ ~ ~ ~ SHOW NOTES: Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva - fave Sardinian wine The No-Edit Life with Steven Bailey (part 1) The No-Edit Life with Steven Bailey (part 2) The No-Edit Life with Steven Bailey (part 3) 1000 Hours Outside Ep. 237 with Jon Acuff TheKoreanFarmer.com Join our Kindred Farm email list to have first access to dinner tickets and other events and classes! Birth & (Re)birth: Celebrating the Strength of Women with Sarah Ford
No matter what our story is, at some point we all must learn to choose our hard, hold things loosely, and surrender. Join me for a conversation with my wondrous friend Sarah Ford - birth doula and aspiring midwife, owner of (Re)birthing Wellness and Held Postpartum, and lover of all things health and wellness. This episode is packed with inspiration for every woman, whether you’ve birthed or not, whether it’s been awhile, or even if you had a difficult birth experience.  Sarah Ford’s passion for birth began as a homeschooled 11-year-old when she witnessed the home birth of one of her siblings. After starting her own business and attending her first birth as a doula at age 16 (!), she soon began official doula training with a midwife. Since then, Sarah has been serving families all over Tennessee as a doula and midwife-in-training and says, “I will never get over this work I get to do!”  In her gentle but powerful way, Sarah shares about: How homeschooling helped her find her career path Her perspective about natural birth Body image and the power of women’s bodies The importance of community Her top nourishing practices for health and wellness …And so much more This episode is a celebration of all women and the strength we possess. ~ ~ ~ ~ SHOW NOTES: Sarah Ford on Instagram - @sarahkateford Sarah’s website - (Re)birthing Wellness and Held Postpartum Meals Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin Blue Zones sourdough bread Go to this episode’s blog post for photos and more at ChristineMarieBailey.com/blog. A Messy Beautiful Year

A Messy Beautiful Year
Let’s kick “new year, new you” to the curb - instead of neat, tidy goal lists, let’s approach the new year another way. How about just be yourself this year, but healthier and more rooted in what matters most? How about instead of perfection, we embrace the messiness of life and find the beauty in that?  In this episode, we talk about how to distinguish between the messes that DO need to be cleaned up in our homes, families, jobs, relationships, souls…and which ones are holy messes - signs of our beautiful humanity.  Let’s walk into the new year not by adopting passing fads or trends but by adding new facets to our lives that are nourishing for the long haul. Down here in the mess, there is growth through struggle, and perhaps that’s the most lasting kind.  Grab a cup of ☕️ and JOIN ME! ~ ~ ~ ~ SHOW NOTES: How To Build A Campfire (The New Way) - Yes Ladies, You Can! 🔥 Ep. 8: Rooted Ep. 27: My Sourdough Journey Ep. 45: Meaningfully Busy Ep. 47: Kindling Fires The Magnolia Story by Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines Until the Streetlights Come On by Ginny Yurich Doterra Geranium essential oil - my favorite to add to a hot bath How the Penguins Saved Veronica by Hazel Prior I Lived on Butterfly Hill by Marjorie Agosin The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude by Sarah Ban Breathnach The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey Go to this episode’s blog post for photos and more at ChristineMarieBailey.com/blog. Fall Gathering Series Part 5: Return to the Table
Why, if nourishing ourselves and each other is one of the most important things we can do as human beings, would we allow so many other things to replace it? Let’s not be in danger of losing something elemental that holds us together - returning to the table.   In this final part of my Fall Gathering Series, we talk about why it’s so important not to lose momentum after you’ve gone through the effort of inviting people in. I share some key ways to move forward and tips that have helped me. Then, I tell a story from my life-changing trip to Italy and what I learned from an unforgettable experience in a village surrounded by olive and lemon groves. 🫒🍋 Grab a cup of something warm, and join me!~ ~ ~ SHOW NOTES: Go to ChristineMarieBailey.com/blog for links to fall recipes and a plug-and-play fall menu for your gathering! Eat Your Flowers: The Magical World of Honeybees with Sarah Gilliam

Eat Your Flowers: The Magical World of Honeybees with Sarah Gilliam
Join me for another delightful conversation with my multi-talented friend Sarah Gilliam, community advocate, beekeeper, photographer, believer in flower power, and homesteader raising her family just up the road from our farm. And this time, we’re talking about the magical world of HONEYBEES! 🐝✨ We recorded this on Sarah’s dreamy porch at her home in Hilltown, TN. As an experienced beekeeper of 10 years, Sarah shares her wisdom and beekeeping stories. If you’re already into beekeeping, or if you literally know nothing about bees, you’ll learn so much from this episode about what these truly miraculous creatures can teach us and how they draw us together in community. Sarah also provides you with realistic ways YOU can support bees and other pollinators, right where you are. Listen for all the authentic country sounds of nature and birdsong in the background, two interludes where her fluffy orange cat walks across my laptop (#homesteadproblems), and a little sound clip at the end of Sarah’s own bees in her apiary. We couldn’t resist throwing in some un-bee-lievably corny bee puns, too. 😆 P.S.
