A Dig Through Time Podcast

A Dig Through Time is a Magic History Podcast that talks about everything you might not know about your favorite game. We believe that there’s more to Magic than just playing the game; as a Magic player you are a participant in its community and culture. However, with the world’s longest running history as far as gaming culture goes, Magic has a lot that’s left underexplained and lost to time. That’s where we come in. We’re here to explain all of the references, the in-jokes, the little nuggets of information that you won’t pick up on just by reading the cards. From major events to other community personalities and sweeping changes to the games rules, layout, or function, we’re here to guide you through the history of it all. What is Tempo? - A Dig Through Time 17
What is Tempo? A discussion three decades in the making, and something that no two magic players can seem to agree on. This week, we take a deep dive into one of the most ambiguous, nebulous concepts in all of Magic to try to give it a straightforward definition. We're also examining the meta-topic of the discussion in general, and how discourse over answering that question has changed over the years; "What is Tempo?" --- Special thanks to the boys at Crew3 podcast and at Fireside Magic for their help on the intro. Ruckman, Tyler, Ricky, Ben, Jessi, and Chris in order of appearance. Y'all real ones. A Dig Through Time is a Magic: the Gathering History podcast that talks about everything you might not know about your favorite game. There's more to Magic than just playing the game, and we want to show off everything else from big changes to personalities and explaining in-jokes from thirty years ago that you probably weren't around for.  Your hosts are Darren Magnotti, aka ServoToken, a budget-deck expert who writes for TCGPlayer.com among wearing many other hats; and Adam Bowman aka Scuffle D.Lux, an MTG V-Tuber gambler demon with a love for Limited, Streaming, and Organizing Tournaments.  Join us every other week as we dive into the rich history of the world's best game. --- Like the Show? Vedalken - Petals of Insight
The show we wanted to release today is a bit of a doozy and needs just a smidge more extra work, so we've got a Petal for you all instead. It was recorded a while ago, but covers one of the stranger regular creature types in the game, Vedalken. This is Petals of Insight, our Patreon exclusive short form show where we discuss some of the things that are just a bit too specific for the main show.
