To Captain Flashman he gave the Kingdom of the Grottos and the hand of Eve Arden however his kingdom was in revolt. Further he stipulated that the kingdom must be subdued before the marriage could take place. Once at the Kingdom of the Grottos, Captain Flashman defeated the rebel leader Nog and was on the verge of conquering the entire kingdom when without warning, he was attacked by the Frog People. In the ensuing melee, Captain Flashman was knocked senseless. Will Captain Flashman remain senseless? Will he be captured by the Frog People? Or will Eve’s scream of panic save the day? There Eve was sentenced to be the companion of Vulkaren while the others were forced to work in the Bird Cage, the busiest yet most under-staffed restaurant in the city. Through careful planning, all four of our heroes were able to escape the evil clutches of Vulkaren, leaving  her for dead on her own throne room floor. When Captain Flashman and Eve became separated from Prince Belfast and Dr Krakow, they were forced to return to the throne room only to find Vulkaren alive and holding a ray gun.
