Our Editor's Take

Star Wars Minute is one of the pioneering podcasts in the movies-by-the-minute genre. The movie review podcast debuted in 2013 with an examination of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Each episode discusses one minute of the movie. In the beginning, the hosts thought the show would, at most, address the first movie. They were wrong. The podcast reached one decade in April 2023 and is still a fan favorite.

The podcast's fans have listened to Alex Robinson and Pete Bonavita discuss Star Wars for over ten years. The show's staying power is in part due to Alex's and Pete's sheer genius and comedic abilities. The two are a laugh riot, with a deep love for Star Wars movies. The hosts give fans more than recaps or reviews. They offer well rounded, organic entertainment few podcast hosts can boast about. Sure, it helps that Pete and Alex review a beloved movie franchise, but not everybody can do such a job with the same source material. The Star Wars Minute hosts are a cohesive and hilarious team, and it shows in every episode.

The podcast's stellar guest list is another unique selling point. These include other Star Wars enthusiasts, commentators, and actors. Notable among them are actor Paul Rust and Mark Hamill's son, Nathan. Mark plays Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars movies. Nathan chats about the movie and his father's role in propelling it to its longstanding fame. Other guests include show regulars Chris Radke and Tony Consiglio, among many others.

Alex and Pete have reviewed eleven Star Wars movies, including prequels. Films reviewed on Star Wars Minute include Rogue One and The Force Awakens. Others are The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Phantom Menace, and Revenge of the Sith.
