Shawn Caprice Houston is the youngest daughter of Leroy and Dorothy Houston originally of Savannah, Georgia. Born and raised in Michigan, Shawn attended ,college at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. There she received a bachelor of science in accounting. Knowing that she was a people person, she eventually went into sales, finding her niche in senior insurance products. After starting her insurance career Shawn‘s parents suffered many illnesses, which led to her caregiving journey. After years of caregiving, Shawn‘s parents passed on, and she began the next chapter for life. Currently, Shawn is an outreach manager for a national value based care doctors office. There she helps seniors get the quality healthcare she wished was available for her parents. Benson with two children, Bryce and Braelyn Benson, and two bonus sons, Matthew and Justin Benson. She and her husband recently became doting grandparents to Elliana Benson. Currently, Monique is an Emergency Management Specialist with the Health and Human Services (HHS). Monique’s ultimate goal in life is to share her remarkable story with others in the expectation that someone will consider becoming a Living Kidney Donor which will tremendously change someone’s quality of life.
