The Sports Junkies podcast has four hosts, all Gen Xers. Jason (Bish) Bishop, Eric (E.B.) Bickel, John (Cakes) Auville, and John-Paul (JP) Flaim cohost the show. The four of them grew up together in Bowie, Maryland. The hosts have been sports fans for decades. In 1995, they started their careers on a public-access television show. That show would prove to be so popular that they got a local radio program. It is now one of the area's most popular sports talk shows. As its name implies, The Sports Junkies is a podcast that focuses on all manner of sports. What's going on with the latest Zion Williamson drama? Are the Commanders going to change their name again? The hosts answer listeners' questions. Basketball is one of many sports the hosts have an interest in. They also love football. They are happy to share their thoughts about their NFL top 100 players. They also comment on any trade rumors about NFL players they may hear.

The Sports Junkies podcast hosts will also talk about international sporting events. That encompasses the World Cup and a poker cheating scandal. They will also have guests like Kevin Sheehan or Neil Greenberg on for extra commentary. Yet they also discuss pop culture and news stories, too. Everything from Lizzo's backup dancers to Burger King's latest sandwich gets discussed here. The podcast even has a popular running bit called Gameshow Wednesday. During this segment, the hosts talk about game shows.
