In 2015, Bob Clagett began working full-time at I Like To Make Stuff. The website offers resources and information for many DIY pursuits. He started this podcast around that time. Cohost Jimmy Diresta has been making things since he could grip a hammer. The host experimented with tools and materials in his dad's shop as a kid. He now works with wood, metal, plastic, and more.

Podcast cohost David Picciuto owns Make Something, a DIY website. A photographic project led David into woodworking. When he discovered it was too expensive to have his photos framed, he decided to make them from scratch. Thus began a long woodworking career.

David and the other hosts have an impressive knowledge base. They share this knowledge with enthusiasm on the Making It podcast. On the show, the hosts discuss the projects they are working on. Listeners can expect topics like how to use a 3D printer and making furniture with bare hands. The projects the hosts work on vary.
