Episode 1: Interview: Caroline Bouchard (Greenland Arctic Scientist)
In our first edition of Odyssey Discovery we interview a senior researcher at the Greenland Climate Research Centre of the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources in Nuuk, Caroline Bouchard. Caroline's research interests include arctic and subarctic fish and fisheries, pelagic ecology in ice-covered seas, fish early life history, fisheries acoustics, fish population dynamics, and polar cod  a key species in arctic marine ecosystems.  Join us as Caroline tells us her incredible story and shares resources for educators who would like to connect their students with the Arctic.  The Arctic Sea Ice educational package is a part of core curriculum in schools in Nunavik, it hasn't been formally launched more widely, but most everything is still available at education.arcticeider.com  The People of a Feather education package is of course a finished product as well that is available with the film's education license. We also put together a number of lesson plans for home schooling during the pandemic linked to the ASI EP that you can access here - https://arcticeider.com/education-outreach/home-school/ EduArctic program. https://program.edu-arctic.eu/faqs/online_lessons#online_lessons Greenland Institute of Natural Resources https://natur.gl/?lang=en To stay updated on Arctic Odyssey episodes or to learn more about how you can connect your students with the Arctic...  --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/odysseydiscovery/support
