How to Manage Assessment in the Elementary Music Classroom
I created a Piano Performance rubric assessment sheet for the students to complete before testing, saving me time and making the students responsible for filling out the test paper. Goin' to the Zoo, A Fun Kindergarten Music Program
Here is a fun music program for KINDERGARTEN. Pre-K and First grade would also like this program. This resource includes the songs: Goin’ to the Zoo, Animales (English/Spanish) perfect for a dual language class, Alison’s Camel, The Bear Went Over the Mountain, I Can’t Spell Hippopotamus plus The Wheels on the Bus.I checked with my classroom teachers about what time of year they wanted to do the music program. We looked at their curriculum and chose to use the theme of "Goin' to the Zoo" since they would be studying animal families. I am also lucky to teach near a city zoo and we scheduled our program around their visit. I have used this program for several years, making the cost of buying the extra resources affordable. There is only one piece selection you will need to purchase: This product contains the entire script I created for Goin' to the Zoo. I added decorative song lyric sheets both for teachers and students. Sheet music is included as needed. This program was used for four classes of kindergarteners.More information and details are on my BLOG at TrebleTreeMusic.com.Available for purchase:TeachersPayTeachers.EtsyHappy Teaching! You may also like:Complete Elementary Middle Ages Music Program for 4th and 5th GradeTreble Music Clef Rhymes for Lines and Spaces in English and SpanishMusic Room Rules for Classroom Management PosterMusic Activity Event Planning CalendarVocal Warm-Ups for Kinder and 1st GradeLet's share! My Teacher Pay Teacher StoreBlog Treble Tree MusicPinterestYouTubeInstagramFacebook

ELEMENTARY YEARLY MUSIC LESSON PLAN Template Available on Teachers Pay Teachers.Doesn't that sound great? Never plan lessons again? Here is an organizational resource I created for the elementary music teacher intended for planning weekly AND monthly lesson plans only once. The goal is to plan once and reuse the yearly plan for many years to come with only minor changes. Plan once with content details, materials, and assessments, and NEVER HAVE TO PLAN LESSONS AGAIN.This is the 4th in a series of lesson-planning tools to reduce and eliminate creating new lesson plans every year. Use a Curriculum Concepts Map, Grade Level Unit Planning Template, and a yearly planner to add the details to your weekly lesson plans.HOW DO I USE THIS RESOURCE: This project should take about 3-4 hours to plan out a month.1. Download the resource. 2. Review the "How to" page. 3. Look at my sample on the second slide.4. Use a Curriculum Concepts Map, Grade Level Unit Planning Template, and your yearly planner to fill in the details for the lesson plan.More information and teaching tips on my Treble Tree Music BlogCheck for more resources in this series!
