We recently sat down with owner of Just for Hunting and Long Time, Mossy Oak western states representative, Parrey Cremeans. Parrey stopped by on his way to Canada for a moose hunt. We had a conversation about several different hunting related topics and find out what state Parrey believes is a sleeper for some great hunting.

After a few month hiatus, Darrell and I are chopping it up once again! We have a lot of catching up to do since our last Podcast so stick around as we talk about how our spring went and what we have coming up!

This week we sat down with one of the co-owners of Idaho Trophy Hunt Planners, Chris Evans. Chris along with his best friend Trent Hone have turned their passion for hunting into a business that is designed to help people who, for various reasons, are unable to scout for upcoming hunts in Idaho. Listen in as Chris explains how this whole thing works.

This week we sit down with Casey Fairchild.  Casey is an experienced elk hunter that has a pile of great stories to tell!  His knowledge of elk hunting and behavior is as good as it gets.  If you listen long enough you just might learn a thing of two!

Hoby is the outfitter in one of the most sought after elk and Shiras moose units in the state of Idaho.  They put in the time and resources to consistently harvest some of the biggest bulls in the west!

We sit down with Ron Hulse, owner of Bone-A-Fide Antler.  One of the largest buyers and distributors of shed antlers in the world.  We talk with Ron about the past, present and future of shed hunting as well as tell some stories of shed hunting back when no one was doing it!  If you are at all interested in shed hunting this is a must listen!

We sit down this week with Mr. Terry Hess.  Terry runs the Instagram page Hunt & Heart.  A page dedicated to risk management in the outdoors.  Terry has extensive knowledge in this field and some pretty amazing stories to go along with it.  Sit back, enjoy and maybe give a little more thought to your own safety on your next hunting trip.

We took some time off from the Podcast to do a little elk hunting. Darrell and I tell our stories from this years season.

Darrell and I get the guys from antelope camp together to tell the stories of how their hunts went down on what turned out to be one of the best seasons we have ever had! We filmed this outside, the wind was blowing a bit, so there is a high probability of some background noise but that didn't stop us from having a great time, drinking a few beers and enjoying the stories Hopefully you will enjoy them as well. Hey it's hunting season , so on this episode we do our first remote Podcast from antelope camp. We were joined this year by Mike Tussey from Nomad Outdoor. Mike is the Community Manager for them and this is his first opportunity to hunt speed goats. We talk about how the hunt has gone up to this point and Mike gives us a little insight and history of the Nomad clothing line got started and the direction they are headed. This week we sit down with Josi Young, owner of Silver Lining Herbs. Silver Lining Herbs specializes in alternatives to equine and dog supplements. Josi is also relatively new to the archery world and tells his stories from getting off to a great start archery hunting to realizing how difficult and challenging it can be.

On this weeks episode We talk with co-owner of Outdoors International Cory Glauner.  Cory gives us the lowdown on what Outdoors International is all about and the history of how it came to be.  Cory also talks about his recent trip to Hawaii to vet new outfitters for his clients.  Do you know what the barnyard slam is?.... you're about to:).

On todays episode Darrell and I go in depth on our elk calling tactics.  Darrell gives us the history behind Native By Carlton elk calls as well as how he likes to use them.  Native By Carlton has been a great friend to the Podcast and has helped us create our own line of elk calls!  So, in the next couple of weeks we should have some of them in our hands and ready to give to you!

On today episode of The Seasoned Hunter Podcast we sit down with the owner of Top Flight Archery, Josh Tybo.   Living in a small town in New Mexico Josh quickly realized the importance of knowing how to work on his own bow as the closest archery shop was over 100 miles away.  So, out of necessity Josh learned how to do just that including making custom bow strings.  Hence, Top Flight Archery was born and Josh was quickly filling orders for his strings not only locally, but across the West.  Josh and his family have recently relocated to southern Idaho and we had the chance to sit down with him and let him tell his story.

On this episode we sit down with the Gabe Gerrish, founder of Backwoods Pursuit. Backwoods Pursuit tests and reviews a plethora of products designed for the outdoors. If you are a gear head like us it is nice to have someone out there that has tested these products and will give them an honest review and let you decide what works best for your situation. Today Gabe gives us the lowdown on how he goes about reviewing products.

On this episode Darrell and I sit down with the founder of Shot IQ and two time World Elk calling Champion Joel Turner. Regardless of your weapon of choice, Joel teaches the mental aspect of becoming a better shooter. As Joel says " I don't teach shooting, I teach the conscious defiance of human nature".

We sat down on the morning of the Fourth of July a hammered out a quick episode with my son Jack who was in town for the holiday!  He drops some knowledge on us about how Wyoming residents draw system and over the counter tags work.  We also spend a little time talking antelope as Jack will be coming to Idaho to hunt them with us this fall and I am trying to decided if I should get a new muzzle loader for my upcoming deer hunt of stick with old faithful.  It was great to have my son join us on an episode and hopefully he will be able to again in the future!
