·       In the USA, Crime Scene Investigators exist in local police agencies, county-wide agencies, state-wide departments, on the federal level of government and even in the private sector. Aside from CSI’s who are assigned to process specific types of crime scenes, many agencies have patterns of common crime-types they constantly deal with.
