Paul was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1971 to a mom who was ostracized by her  own family for the pregnancy of Paul out of wedlock, they were strict Jehovahs witness and that was not allowed, Pauls mom later had his younger sister.  Needless to say it was rough from the start for Paul. He grew up in poverty and remembers lots of drugs, alcohol, and gangwars going on in the streets when he was younger.  His father was out of the picture from very young age and in came the step dads, which became revolving door until he was 16 and left home so he didn't hurt the current male authority figure at that house. He grew up experiencing lots of different kinds of abuse from the different people that he was exposed to in his life.  There was no religion or any kind of faith in the home after Pauls mom was kicked out of her parents home for getting pregnant, she was church hurt and probably offended the church kicked her out. Paul grew up a fighter, he actually loved it, and was good at it. Before high school started he was a short  5 foot 7 inch kid and when high school started he was 6 foot 1inch. Bon was born in August of 1990 in the Philippines to a really big family with lots of aunts and uncles.  He was actually the first born male for the family among all the younger generation, so needless to say in Filipino culture, he was lavished with lots of attention and love when he was younger.  Bon's mom was 16 when she got pregnant and had Bon as a 17 year old young woman.  They all lived with the matriarch's  of the family,  Gma and Gpa.  Bon grew up spending most his time with his grandma learning from her and watching all she did, she was an avid gardener, while grandpa had a huge yard and lots of chickens to take care of and play with.  In the Filipino culture and in the Philippines there are 2 main religions, Catholic and Muslim, Bon's family we're all Catholic.  He knew God was present in his life at a very young age but never really had a strong personal relationship with God until later in life.  Bon was the oldest of 3 brothers and sisters. Bon was to be a "good example"  for all his other cousins that his aunts and uncles had, so the pressure to "be good" was their from a very early age.  Around the age of 7 Bon and his family moved out of Gma and Gpa's house and to the state of California where Bons mother met a man and got married and they ended up having Bon's younger brother and sister. They moved from the Philippines in July of 1997 and in September of 1997, Gma passed away , who Bon kinda thinks her heart was broken that all the family had moved away and she was alone then.  Listen to this story of how and where GOD finds BON and really gets his heart to start following after God. Rick was born in March of 1972 in Portland, Oregon to God- fearing parents who had his 2 older sisters, Cindy and Mindy. Rick can remember growing up and having a wonderful childhood with a great community around him. His family was connected in one of the original foursquare church's that started in the  area and they were there from the beginning group of around 20 people as they stayed and called it home and watched it grow over time. Rick was at church for Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings and can remember his older sisters going to "THE BARN" for youth group and Rick really remembers wanting to be a part of it but he was too young at the time. All in all it was a really tight knit community that Rick grew up in. Around the time he started kindergarten, Ricks teachers said he needed to get an eye exam and it was determined that rick needed to wear eye glasses, which in turn was very hard for a young kid to do. School was very hard for him and around the time of the 5th grade when they moved to Arizona for a year, it was extremely difficult for Rick with bullying and people picking on him. Jose was the youngest child and the baby of the family who everyone tried to protect and keep from harm. Growing up in La Puente in the late 80's early 90's, Jose grew up surrounded by gang wars.  Some of his older sisters started to get involved with the street lifestyle and made sure NONE OF THE GANGS would initiate Jose, they didn't want him getting involved in the gang life. Jose did start to dabble with drinking and drugs in his teenage years which would ruin one of the best opportunities he would have.  From a very young age, Jose started playing baseball and was actually blessed with a real talent from God to play, he was fast and had an amazing arm and could hit- which was the key to it all.  Growing up Catholic there was never any real relationship with God that he can remember it was all just what they did together as a family when they did go. Deb was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to a father who struggled with an alcohol addiction and a mom who also had parents that struggled with an alcohol problem.  Deb  is  the oldest of 4 children and  even though on the outside she was shy, quiet, and introverted around classmates and other people, at home she was the boss with her brothers and sister and treated them rather harshly. She has since apologized and made up to them all for her behavior as a child.  Deb could sense from a very young age that her father never really wanted her, he wanted a boy, which was confirmed later in her life, which really made Deb go through some mental gymnastics about herself and her childhood.  Her father worked for a brewery and they got free beer everyday after they were finished working for the day.  It wasn't until Deb turned 17 and started drinking that her alternate personality "DRUNK DEBBIE" came out. My what a journey it has been for Yesi. Born in the early 90's in northwest Chicago in the city, to a mother and father who were both hard working immigrants who only spoke Spanish in the home. Yesi didn't learn English until she was 4  and started going to  public school. Yesi has a younger brother and family is still today one of the most important aspects of Yesi's life. She still communicates and has a relationship with many of her loved ones. Unfortunately, with her parents sometimes working many jobs to provide for the family, the kids were often  babysat by other people and this is were the traumatic life events started to happen to Yesi. Born in the Mid 1950's during the civil rights movement, Cleo was the youngest child of 2 with him and his older sister. Both of his parents were in the military and served for his childhood at multiple duty stations. He was born in Kansas at Fort Riley, Then the family was moved to Hawaii for 3 yrs where he realized the difference in culture bc if your not Hawaiian in Hawaii your an outsider, which Cleo was a black kid among a bunch of Hawaiians and some white kids. After Hawaii they moved back to Kansas and were at Fort Riley again. After his mom got out of the military she started bringing the children to church. Around the age of 9 years old Cleo encountered God when the Lord grabbed his heart at a church service.  He ended up really falling in love with MO-Town Detroit music INSTEAD of the Lord, the world snatched him away from the faith. Later he  watched his dad fight and scuffle with some men from the church which just happened to be caucasian. This would in turn cause some anger and bitterness towards white people and God. Listen and find out how God ends up pulling Cleo up out of the pit and into his current roles of community leader, man of God, and example for what it means to "walk with God"!!! Bradley was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona to his parents of Jody and Robert. Robert was in the United States Air Force and met Jody while serving in Arizona. At a very young age Bradley's father left him, his mom, and his sister due to alcoholism and a family bar that was passed down through generations, along with all the demons and generational curses that came with it. Bradley never really had a relationship with his father while growing up, it was mom with a very strong work ethic working in the medical field, taking care of Bradley and his sister. Bradley knew conceptually "OF GOD" but they never went to church as family or prayed or read the Bible together when he was younger. He had heard of religion but NEVER a relationship with Jesus. Born in Cocoa Beach, FL Sabrina was a Cape Canaveral girl. She's witnessed many of the space mission launchings. She has eaten shark and seen some  crazy things from a very young age.  She was born to parents that struggled with addiction themselves, both drinking and substance abuse. Living in poverty in many different ways, she faced a hard life and suffered abuses of all kinds. They grew up with not only financial poverty, but they didn't have any relationship with God while she was growing up. They did not attend church as a family, they had no bibles in the home, they did not pray. She remembers it as a  "NO HOPE, THERE WAS NO FAITH, NO LOVE"childhood.  She faced a very uphill battle from a very young age. Born in July 1945 in Riverside, CA to a stay at home mom who was almost 6 feet tall and a father who was a truck driver, Wilburn, who goes by the name of Bill, was the 3rd boy of 5 boys and 1 girl. Back in those days his family lived out in the rural area of Riverside, California with chickens, rabbits, and cows that they all had to take care of while growing up.  Coming from very humble beginnings, Bill and his brother Joe actually grew up living in the barn together with some plywood and drywall separating the boys from the cow pen. Bills first job was cutting grass for the neighbors which he used the money earned to buy himself new school clothes. He grew up in a community church that was kind of a family baptist church as he remembers it. Whatever mother told them boys to do, THEY DID because mother did not play around. When Bill was 12 he accepted Jesus but went right back to living in the world with no real form of life change. Born in Las Vegas to a father who worked a government job for law enforcement during the 60's and 70's. Her mom was a strict Italian catholic from back east. She is the oldest of 4 siblings with 2 little sister's and a little brother, all very close in age and still to this day have very close relationships with. She doesn't really remember having a relationship with or having God really present in her life as she was younger. It was kind of like God was this untouchable God that was far away from her, almost unreachable. When they did attend catholic service it was usually on Christmas and Easter only every year, if they even went. Listen and be amazed at how God orchestrates His way into Genie's life and leaves her changed and marked forever. Now Genie faithfully serves the Lord at her local church and actually helps others hear the voice of God for themselves, to be able to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit. Born and raised in Arizona, Stacia has only really ever known the valley. Stacia's family landed in Arizona back in the 1930's from Missouri. She was born to a father who was a firefighter and a mother who was a well- known christian therapist. Her dad being a firefighter loved her and provided everything she needed, but he was rarely ever home and always working it seemed like to her growing up. So she actually had to grow up and attend the well know christian school her mom worked at and they attended as a family. To Stacia, growing up, it felt like she lived in a fish bowl. Stacia has believed since a very young age even being baptized her first time at the age of 4. At the age of 16, while attending summer camp and really pressing into what God was doing in her life, she got baptized again, but this time for herself for real. Born on Christmas in 1955, Al was born the youngest boy with 2 older brothers that were 7 years older than him and sandwiched in between his 2 sisters.  They grew up with dad who served 21 years in the United States Air Force, were they moved about a lot never allowing deep roots to grow, connections, or relationships to be established.  Al's parents were Catholic and Al never found anything he liked in Catholicism. It was always what he was doing wrong, a list of what he wasn't allowed to do, or someone telling him everything he was doing wrong and had to repent from, Al always felt as a little kid he was bad and going to hell.  Al ended up having a come to Jesus moment that will touch your heart. The royal rangers were some of his earliest memories in church that he actually enjoyed and didn't have to be "drug to church" by mom. Born in Logan, Utah to a couple parents who were free spirits and artists as well as teachers that traveled.   By the time he was in Kindergarten they had landed in casper, Wyoming and the parents were teaching art at the local university. As for Craig, he grew up an only child with no real friends because he was always being moved from place to place and no stability.  Craig didn't look well upon himself or think highly of himself from a very young age and struggled with having good mental health.  In middle school his father died in a tragic car accident that really messed up Craig. Growing up in "Nap Town" Indianapolis, Indiana, Justice had grandparents who built a baptist church and helped the community often. She had a biological father who was a pimp and had exposed Justice to that lifestyle at a very young age. She lived with her mom who was good, until addiction hit her life and she wasn't.  She struggled through all kinds of abuse both physically, mentally, and emotionally while growing up. He could be in room full of family or at school and still feel all alone. After high school, Tom enrolled at the University of Arizona to continue his education. In this episode of the SpeakLifeAZ podcast, we listen to Shrrene's powerful story of resilience to keep hope alive, a strength to overcome many abuses from a very young age, and the ability to now be able to help others in recovery who have gone through what she had to go through in life. She was born to a mother who was 17 years old, who traveled with the circus, and was a working prostitute, Shrrene only knew the name of the one-night stand her father was. For the first five years of her life she was abused by some of the men who came into her moms life through the sex work. At the age of five, she was at school playing with the other young kids, when she was hanging up-side down on the monkey bars and the teacher saw the bruising. The authorities were contacted and she was taken out of moms custody and placed into the state foster care system.  Abuse, neglect, and isolation became a norm for Shrrene that  she was used too.  It wasn't until she met a man she really liked that God began to unfold a plan only He could orchestrate.  Listen and be amazed at how God can find someone, Heal them, and set them free in Jesus name and continue to use their life to help others find the very freedom and healing she has found with Jesus at the center of her life.
