Understanding the DISC Model in Parenting

The DISC model, a framework describing four primary personality styles—Dominant, Inspiring, Supportive, and Cautious—can be a game-changer in how we parent. 2. Inspiring (I): These energetic and social individuals crave recognition, approval, and popularity. They often seek attention in unique ways, which, if not met positively, can lead to illogical behavior. Parents can support them by providing genuine praise and opportunities for social engagement.

3. Supportive (S): These individuals are known for their reliability, kindness, and tendency to avoid conflict. Their needs revolve around appreciation, security, and acceptance.
