297: Longevity, Radical Life Extension and Living to 500 with Marek Piotrowski
Imagine the breadth of wisdom we could accumulate and the societal enrichment that might be possible if our lifespans were dramatically extended.  Join me, Dr. Yami, as I unlock the secrets of a life that could span centuries, not just decades, with longevity enthusiast Marek Piotrowski. Our enlightening conversation on ‘radical life extension’ with Marek ventures beyond the norm, as he distinguishes between daily health span routines and the audacious goals of life extension, drawing on his 'longevity tree' analogy. We discuss the intriguing phenomena of blue zones, Marek's personal pivot from marketing into the depths of longevity, and take a look into a future where careers could range as broadly as rock star to astronaut. We consider the societal implications and the personal growth that could accompany centuries of life. Imagine the wisdom accrued over hundreds of years and the cumulative impact on society. It's not just about scientific breakthroughs; we also took a soulful turn, contemplating my own transition from skeptic to open-minded explorer, delving into concepts like energy and reincarnation. Yet, through it all, the emphasis remains firmly on savoring our current journey, and maximizing and relishing every breath we take today. Discussion points: ● Introduction: Marek Piotrowski and life-extension ● Healthspan versus life extension ● The journey from marketing to longevity ● Concept of ‘longevity escape velocity’ ● The importance of biohacking ● Biohacking supplements & health practices like cold plunges ● Scientific ways to live for 500 years ● Marek’s wellness journey ● Tips on sleep, nutrition, exercise ● Maintaining your health span  ● The future of life extension technologies ● Scientific longevity advancements ● Please subscribe, and reach out to us with your comments, questions, and feedback Disclaimer: The information on this podcast is for informational and educational purposes only. 293: Goodbye Veggie Doctor Radio
In this final episode of Veggie Doctor Radio, I reflect on the changes and challenges I faced in 2023, including moving to a new office space and opening a multi-purpose teaching area. I share my experience of slipping into depression and making difficult decisions about my podcast. Despite feeling deflated, I surrendered to the universe and started believing in myself. Speaking at a conference reinvigorated me, and I decided to rebrand my podcast to explore deeper topics and promote well-being and joy. I introduce my new podcast, I AM HUMAN, and express gratitude to my listeners.Thank you for listening!
